Ha. Dropping my kid off at my parents’ now so I can have a house full of drunk UFC buddies tonight. I’ll finish up the sheet and write up when I get back. Hopefully have it posted around 330ish.
I’m actually in Italy right now (not so humble brag) so main card starts at 4am for me :( (Plus DK app won’t let me put in line ups from here). if it did I would go heavy on A10 and Volk if anyone wants my 2 cents.
With so many big names, it's hard to not let my biases slip into my analysis. Not a fan of Izzy, Volk, or Riddell. Love Max, love Munhoz, big fan of Cannonier. With that said: Not much interest in Clark/Stoliarenko. Combined they've lost 6 of their last 10 fights. Better options around Clark (who is 5th in takedowns/min on this card), and if Stoliarenko somehow eeks out a decision, they're both such low volume that I don't expect either to be on the optimal. Hard pass unless I circle back and Clark fits. I doubt it though. I love so many dogs that I'll be able to do whatever I want when finishing lineups. Clark by decision. As you can see, the sheet HATES Jessica Eye as much as we do. I'll never be able to forget that cringey "Here we go evil here we go ooooh ooooh" shit she did in a pre fight presser. So bad. With that said, she doesn't get finished often and I'm not sure Maycee at 9.1 is something I'll be a part of. Maycee wins for sure, but I'd expect her to be below 100 points, which won't get the job done tonight. Barber by decision. Muniz will be a guy I'm targeting. He's a finisher, most takedowns per minute of anybody on the card. If he accumulates 4-5 takedowns and finds a finish, I'm fully expecting him to be on the optimal. He'll probably be highly owned unfortunately, as more pros are drifting into MMA DFS and realize how valuable a guy like Muniz is, even though he doesn't have a big name. Muniz by first round sub. DU PLESSIS. I'm all in on this guy. Wonderful price tag at $8k, and Tavares doesn't do anything well. Du Plessis by first round knockout, I'll be very exposed here. Gabe Green will be my first real dog of the night. I was on the wrong side of him last fight, and he made me a believer. Had Lasik a year ago and looked like a killer last time out against stiff competition. Ian Garry is a young guy they're hoping to attach the rocket ship to, but I think they fucked up putting him in there with Green. At 7.4k, I'll have him on at least 25% of my lineups. Garry isn't a big scorer (or at least yet) on DK, so even if he somehow wins, we won't be hurt by fading him completely. Green by second round KO. Miller/Cerone is gross. Cerrone has lost his last 6 fights, really has no business being on cards anymore. Miller's a fast starter. He either wins a quick one, or we watch two old men clinch for the last 12 minutes or so of this fight. He's not my top option, but I'll be on Miller at 8.7k some. Miller by first round KO. The reach advantage Turner will have on Riddell will be insane. 6 or 7 inches. Riddell is a striking coach so I'd be surprised if he attempts many takedowns, but you have to think that's his only path to victory. Turner has won me a ton of money lately, I think he continues his rise and starts the night off wrong for the Aussies. Turner by 2nd round KO. I really really hate to bet against Munhoz, but the reality is he's lost 4 of his last 5 fights. And all of the reasons I like Turner over Riddell have to be applied here as well. Hurts me to say, but O'Malley gets the KO, not exactly sure when though. Munhoz is very durable and may take a ton of damage until it's just too much. O'Malley by 3rd round KO. Barberena v Luque is one of my favorite fights ever. Shades of Don Frye vs that big Japanese dude. Just stood and banged. Lawler/Rory McDonald also a classic. I think Barberena can still have that kind of fight. I don't think Lawler can anymore. I'll say Barberena finds a way. Not sure I'll have too much of him though, not much conviction here. Barberena by decision. I don't know what to think of Strickland/Pereira. Could be fight of the night. I could see having 30% Strickland/30% Pereira since both are mid range plays. I could see either guy on the optimal, but perhaps Strickland does take it to the mat and neutralize Pereira most of the fight. Strickland by decision. I love Max. I thought he won both of the previous fights, and the way he worked Kattar/Rodriguez says he still has plenty left in the tank. At 7.2k, he'll be on a lot of my lineups and will likely be the highest owned fighter on the card. I trust him when he says he'll finish the fight tonight. Max by 3rd round KO. Izzy is the highest priced guy on the card, and 16th in fantasy points per win. He's turned into a boring point fighter. I will have 0% Izzy tonight. Will have a little bit of Cannonier, I absolutely think he can catch Izzy and knock him out. Not likely, but I'm hoping for it. If he does, he'll certainly be on the optimal at 6.8k. So I'll have a few shares and hope for the ko. My official pick though will be Izzy by boring ass decision. So, I love Muniz, Du Plessis, Holloway, and Turner. They will be core plays. That leaves 17.2k, and I'll build around them with 2v2s of O'Malley/Strickland, O'Malley/Cannonier, etc and sprinkle in some Barberena, Green, and Miller leaving lots of salary on the table trying to avoid being duped.
I have a weird feeling Volk knocks Holloway out tonight bc of all the wars Max has been in. Both fighters are awesome, but I’ll be rooting for Max. He’s always been one of my favorites.
My rebuttal to that is Max has never been knocked down in a fight, let alone knocked out. Against a murderer's row. Volk has knocked out a washed Zombie, Mendes, Kennedy, and Kasuya in the UFC. Like Max said, he doesn't have 3 highlights in the UFC. Not that it can't happen, just that I'd be shocked as hell. Max has looked great this week and said all of the right things. I think he gets the job done tonight.
Final exposures: 75% Du Plessis 75% O'Malley 75% Muniz 63% Turner 50% Holloway 50% Green 38% Barber 38% Miller 38% Pereira 38% Cannonier 25% Barberena
this du plessis guy fights like i wish everyone would fight load up, throw recklessly, and then repeat over and over again

love cowboy. glad he didn’t get his ass whooped and glad he retired. will be sad without him but it was clear he is not the same.
I think we all loved Cowboy before we heard him open his mouth and say plenty of racist bullshit. It does make me feel old though
