Word. Not a book review, but I found the concept compelling enough to buy the $30 app and give it a shot. Absolutely hated it. Drummer friend listened and was like, “that is so awkward sounding. Literally just count quietly to yourself. Draw out the one a little, two, three.” Had much better results
He's even dumber than the guys that made the full jump and announced their "retirement" from the PGA Tour if he honestly only signed up to play one event there. Well...might as well play all of them now, though you just weakened your negotiating power a whole hell of a lot. I'm sure the Saudi's won't take advantage of you with a much, much lower offer now Talor. Moron.
Was just checking out Talor Gooch's Twitter to see if he responded to that story or anything...he hasn't. But what I did see and I guess missed was one hell of a feisty exchange with Tron. Surprised me a bit considering Talor is...was? so tight with Max but maybe that's a colder relationship now or maybe Tron just doesn't care. Either way...get 'em Tron!!
I really like them. Pros are that I don’t have to think about my score, just tracks it for me, just need to remember the putts. Love being able to get “actual” distances on my shots. I prefer the In-grip sensors too the screw in sensors. Not too big of a con, sometimes a sensor won’t read but it’s super easy to go back and add a shot, just won’t be 100% accurate with an added shot. But the few and far between times I had an issue with it not tracking just unpairing and repairing the club after the round will fix the issue. The real con is twice on a 27 hole course I got sent off on an different back 9 then selected. I forgot to switch it and then every shot on the back nine was recorded on one hole, which is a nightmare and you’d just have to delete the round. I wear a yardage watch and the one I have right now I’m not very happy with. If I did both all over again I might go with the shotscope V3.
love them. Little extra time to make sure to set where the pin is but it’s not bad. I can get you a free set of sensors with my referral code
Haha. I’m a total rube when it comes to game improvement junk. Planemate. Plane station. Force pedals. Orange whip. Medicus. Smart ball. Some arm connector band thing. Speed sticks. $25 seemed like a bargain for a magic tempo trainer
They are fine. I like the data but it hasn’t changed my game in any meaningful way. accurate on most shots. Miscalculates putts all the time. I’m too lazy to set pin location so I’m sure it’s throwing off some of the metrics. I use Apple Watch. Had to upgrade my watch as the old one wouldn’t last a full round. Don’t like carrying phone in pocket. I’ve been using Apple Watch apps for years to keep score, this is just an expensive version of that in the end.
I absolutely love arccos. Gives you actual club distances and recommends a club, which usually means I swallow my pride and club up. It can be a little tedious with just a phone but an Apple Watch makes it very easy to set the flag. The only thing you really have to check after every hole is that it registered the correct number of putts and putt distance if you really want accurate strokes gained info. I’ve made a habit of walking off my putts during my pre shot routine just so I know a rough estimate of how long each putt is. It’s nice to look back at my last ten rounds and know exactly where my weaknesses are.
Hate to say it, but the LIV product is MILES better than the average PGA Tour week...this final round was a great watch

Just booked my tee time at fossil trace. If anyone is going to be in the greater Denver area september 29th and wants to join me you’re more than welcome.
Heading back to MS for the week. Stopping to see a buddy in fairhope and play Lakewood golf club. Playing with my brothers on Friday in Jackson that I haven’t played with in forever. Was hoping to play Old Waverly/Mossy Oak while I visit Starkville but won’t have time. Just going to stop at the MSU golf course to get some swag. Going to be a good week.
Man, pops got himself a really nice new Ping golf bag. Really digging it. Hoofer model that's mostly Red with a little White and Black Trim.
Hoofers are definitely good looking bags. Almost pulled the tigger on a blue/black with orange trim looking one but couldn’t talk myself into it without Atleast one ping club in the bag(pulled ping putter this year).
Waverly may be my favorite course in the southeast. The whole experience there is top notch. Id go every year if I could pull it off
I worked there while I was in school. It was so great to play there everyday after I got done. Life was so much simpler back then.
Should be a blast. We have a similar crew. Old Waverly and Mossy Oak are two completely different tracks so it really feels like stepping into two different resorts when going back and forth. I much prefer Old Waverly mostly because I’m not good enough to score at a long links style course like Mossy. But the best part is how the staff treats you. It’s the only resort I have been to where they treat you like a member the entire time. They give you a member number when you check in and then you settle when you check out. Very convenient for buying beers and getting food in between rounds. Speaking of the food the buffet line in the clubhouse fucking rules. Just awesome Southern cooking for breakfast and lunch. So yeah I have beaten the drum for our crew to go back every year but I get overruled. Think we are going to do Myrtle beach or Hilton Head next year
