i was just going to post this, and he was a boxer as well…good recipe also weird to think that his style of play is almost completely out of the game now. Not weird as in it makes no sense now but if you would’ve told me that 15 years ago not sure I would’ve believed it
Who’s going to tell him we’re in daylight time? Should we just assume he’s committing at 1 pm tomorrow?
Future borderline 5* OL from Illinois isn’t even getting attention from ND as a sophomore. Greta job BK and Quinn.
Quinn knew he was getting fired, even BK was going to let him go. So I’m not sure any OL cruit was getting enough attention I’m glad Quinn landed enough players in 21 and 22 that ND has competent depth honestly unlike fucking Del
it’s really mind boggling now that we are seeing the real operation, I was listening to the d3 podcast the other day about wrs and it’s so fucking ridiculous that a program like nd got so thin at that position because of a complete lack of work and accountability
I liked the mark Sanchez story where Kevin white had to go to the golf course to drag willingham off to meet with him.
there’s like 500 more stories like this from Willingham and Kelly Weis got after it and easily signed two top 5 classes (with no OL, LBs, or CBs mind you) ND can sign top 5 classes
I think doing things like trying to install WVU's offense then scrapping it after one half and hiring co defensive coordinators one of which was a 4-3 guy who only knew how to blitz and the other who was a 3-4 guy who eventually was out of football due to mental health issues meant it was never going to work no matter how he recruited but I appreciate that he at least showed it wasn't 'impossible' to recruit at ND
I have fever dreams of tenuta yelling downhill!!!! Over and over while our lbs run past trash cans in the 30 second practice videos
Weis was also facing an uphill battle, a lot due to his own inability to move the university forward. Sam young lost what 30 pounds during the season bc he was eating south dining hall food (when he could make it over before it closed)?
I’ll never forget seeing Ronald Talley taking down two whoppers from our shitty ass BK in lafun at 10 pm bc he was in study hall and missed the dining halls. Can’t believe we were running a “major college football program” and we had guys missing dinner on a nightly basis.
We were so close to becoming Stanford where the admin has literally killed the bf program it’s nuts. Nd has actually been really progressive the last 5 years
if he had stayed his recruiting prowess would’ve faded real quick. You can’t be a bad coach at a position like this at notre dame.
Reading /r/cfb before bed. Man nd is incredibly lucky to be in the position it is. Most there are wondering if their school will survive the revenue hit generally when they are in a lesser conference
On this mailbag coach d has said (1) if he couldn’t have regular Mountain Dew he would probably just switch to milk full time instead of 50/50 and (2) gets the cheeses Gordita crunch but can’t handle the spicy ranch. He is the whitest person in the world.
D3 ordering 20 honey BBQ boneless wings and a large mountain dew is pretty much what I expect from him.
Mickens is good, he’s a top 150 talent, LSU should celebrate If ND loses Keeley he’d be the obvious offer but it’s probably late now
Weis admitted in an interview (I think it was with Eric Hansen) recently that his biggest failure as the ND coach was that he could never get hiring his assistants right He had no real connection to the college game so he didn't know who could coach (college athletes) and recruit and it totally messed up the team
