https://www.target.com/p/2021-panini-nfl-prizm-football-trading-card-multipack/-/A-83964394 Prizm cellos still available from today's drop
$14.99 for a "value pack" of diamond kings will never not be funny to me. that's the same fuckin price as prizm, what are these people smoking?
Just seems like there's something up with the app/site. IMO makes no sense that megas, blasters, hangers all sell out real quick, but those stay up for that long. Could be way off and the print run is huge
So much to unpack here. 1. Who spends $30k on a prospect? 2. Who ships a $30k card via USPS (first problem) without insurance (second problem)? Beyond moronic. Always, always overnight ship expensive cards. Pay the extra money. 3. I get that offline deals are ideal but no chance I'm wiring a stranger that kind of money. Buy through ebay and pay the fees for the seller so this shit doesn't happen.
Going to guess that the bourbon world has more upstanding citizens than the card community! For this amount of money the deal should have been done in person. Period. At minimum, it should have been Fed Ex/UPS Next Day AM delivery. Never trust USPS. I've been burnt by USPS so I'm salty. Sold an expensive card on ebay. Shipped w/o insurance (dumb). Tracking showed delivered. Buyer claimed he never got it. He opened a case and got the local post office in touch with ebay. They had GPS where the package was scanned and it was, in fact, not at the buyer's address. The wrongful recipient never came forward to return the card after multiple attempts. Guess who was on the hook for it because of ebay's Buyer Protection Policy? That one stung. Yes, I'm an idiot for not insuring it. FWIW, USPS lost an insured package of my brother's and they paid him ~15% of the insured amount. So that's why I didn't insure my packages at that point in time.
bourbon world self polices but scamming is rampant if you're not careful. always get references and people who vouch are responsible as much as the person who screws up.
I carry an insurance policy that covers up to $25k on packages mailed via USPS, FedEx or UPS as long as a signature is required. I also print manifests for my local USPS to scan that initiates an origin scan for all packages I drop off. Otherwise, my local USPS would rarely do an origin scan so a lost package could easily show that they never took possession I've only had one lost package in the thousands I've shipped. And it was sent via UPS with $10k of insurance (Before I had the policy) The underwriters haven't made it a policy yet, but they strongly urge everyone to delete or remove anything on the label (sender/receiver) that would tip anyone off that there are cards or collectables in the package.
If I ever had a card sell for that kind of money and sent it via mail, I would absolutely tell them it was card stock for some other shit. Just like with bourbon, it’s always artisanal olive oil.
100%. In a Prizm hobby which was already stupid expensive, I pulled a Devonta Smith RPA /49. If I sold it would maybe cover 1/3 of the price of the box. That's a guy who is a 1st rounder and 1 yr removed from winning the Heisman
the newest update has been a complete shitshow. Try force closing and re-opening. If that doesn't work, delete the app and redownload. If that doesn't work, try sending Fat Drunk & Stupid a dick pic
In all reality the I have no idea what I’m doing dogs at loupe are still trying to fix all the issues so if you have time, please email [email protected] your type of phone, operating system and build, and version of the app and a description of what is happening
Chronicles Draft Picks looks a lot better this year from the videos I've seen. $135-$150 for a hobby box right now.
It's a common issue that Topps is aware of. Just send in the redemption by mail and you'll get it. My Kyle Lewis redemption from Series 1 came in this week and I had the same issue.
If anyone else is collecting Kyle Pitts, here is a link to an ebay BIN for an HGA 8.5 patch auto from illusions @ $65. I bought the same card a few months ago raw for $100. A good deal if you want to crack the slab open. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3741553139...cY37zubTF-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I might legit order one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/2343855406...FPS1_DASYO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
From my understanding, and I might be wrong, it came in a cellophane promotional team pack and for years hasn't been considered his true rookie, the fleet 86 has. Now, for whatever reason, people are trying to push the Star as his true rookie over the Fleer.
Yeah promotional items don’t count. Otherwise I’m gonna start to make promotional items every year for incoming rookies and beat the big guys to the punch.
Basically my understanding is for a rookie card to be a 'true rookie,' it has to be pulled from a pack organically. So a Wander rookie in a 2022 Topps Complete Set wouldn't be a 'true rookie' because it's garunteed to be in that box. It's a lot of symantic bullshit but I guess i get it. The only Topps flagship Acuna rookie I own is from a complete set and it doesn't make me like the card any less. Absolutely not. No way. This is 100% about trying to right the wrongs of history. I'm sure not a single soul is making any money off this.
Yeah no one should ever deal with the dumbass who sent it like it was a common card because they were cheap with the shipping. I know there's some greedy dumb people in the hobbit but it's still a shock to read about when stuff like this happens.
