I booked a quick 9 for 7am at 2am Monday morning for after work. Started raining at 230 and didn’t stop until after 700
Some of my buddies just got back from a golf trip to both Bluffs courses. They all said it was amazing and worth every penny. Another group is leaving for Ireland today for 10 days of golfing. I will be coaching 10-12 year olds baseball but wouldn’t change it.
I know why I disliked him. I think someone on here said that Billy looks like the mean dad of your childhood friend that everybody was afraid of.
He almost had me feeling sorry for him until If you are going to come back with your tail between your legs, mixing in the Greg Norman talking points is a bad look
I don’t understand why a bigger talking point from the tour/members is that by playing LIV events, one is effectively sabotaging the tour/membership they want to be apart of in the name of their own greed and self interest. They are weakening advertising revenue and tv deals by wanting their cake and eating it too.
i guess so. nothing groundbreaking but worth the listen if you have as much time as I do to listen to podcasts.
The Shotgun Start calling Horschel “Baton Boy” for always tossing his putter on missed putts was so amazingly spot on.
Played 12 holes at Lakewood in Fairhope yesterday before the rain came in. What a great course. We played the dogwood course. I highly recommend the course if you’ve ever got a chance to play there or are planning a trip on the RTJ trail in Alabama.
I don’t know. I haven’t played any of them besides this one. I just saw this course is part of the RTJ trail.
The nicest part about Lakewood is it's proximity to The Grand Hotel There are better overall courses on the trail but you aren't going to find much of a better setup than what they have going on with the hotel right there by the water. Going there next week with the family!
I've played all the RTJ courses, and I'd say Dogwood is in the best shape of them all ever since they hired the current Superintendent from AAC around 4 yrs ago when they refurbished the greens/fairways. Think the mild winter helps, its night and day compared to the Prattville course and Grand National from Oct.-May in terms of conditions. Held a USGA event last fall (ladies sr am.) and it crushed them. USGA had them slow it down, greens were running too hot for the ladies in the practice rounds. Azalea course is mostly forgettable, they renovated it right after Dogwood, spent 4x as much and did a shit job with the redesign. Its in really good shape but a bad layout. Typical RSA trying to save money and not use a real architectural firm while also ruining holes 9-10 so Dr. Bronner could fit in 10 more houses in the new surrounding subdivision to beef up the pension fund return smh
If I wanted a story about people from Kansas who don’t know any better because they never left their hometown I’d just follow broXcore on Twitter
It’s been forever since I looked for a new set of clubs. Good set in the $500-1k range for a 15-20 handicap? (For a friend not me)
that’s my range and I’ve got the ping g410’s Super forgiving. Pings older game improvement irons were tough to look at but these and the 425’s are more visually appealing with less offset so they good with the gi benefits. You can probably find them around $800
