I turned it off within the first 30 minutes because it just seemed like they were doing overly excessive blood for the simple fact that they can do it.
Also hearing Black Phone is excellent, 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and 79 - 79! - on Metacritic. You hardly ever see horror movies get rated that highly on Metacritic these days
I agree, but it also frustrated me a bit. Started off strong but then got a bit clunky and lost focus.
I got started a little early this year and watched “Unfriended” last night. Going to watch the sequel “Unfriended: dark web tonight” Unfriended was a decent watch. Nothing groundbreaking
Decided to get horror movie season started early this weekend. I like to alternate between watching something I haven't seen before and watching one I have liked a lot. Though I will mix in the Haunting of Hill House TV show if it pops up in my list I have sort randomly whenever I open it. New to me Where's Rose - 6 We Are Still Here - 6 Rewatch Creep - 10 Currently Watching The Phoenix Tapes 97
I've seen it before. It's on my rewatch list. I just pick whatever shows up first when I open the list.
NExt up: You Won't Be Alone. Looks like this one has both good user and critic scores/reviews so I think I might get lucky here. And we start off with a cat to open the movie so we're off to a good start lol (not sarcasm)
Saw it Friday and enjoyed it. It wasn't really all that scary but it didn't really seem like it was attempting to be that after the first half or so. It was really entertaining and had some good humor thrown in too.
thought Barbarian was pretty good, wont really say much more in non-spoiler I only saw the first teaser trailer and everyone should definitely go in as blind as possible Spoiler -all time great needle drop to hit the credits -when it was like 30mins in I kept thinking "no way can they do this tunnel for another hour" and then it cut to Justin Long and I thought that was incredible and have no idea how they kept that a secret -the negatives were mainly just the classic horror movie tropes like not leaving or drops the gun, etc not sure that I really loved it but I think it's pretty good
Thought Pearl was ok but not as good as X. It felt a little slow at times. Pearl's dad looked like Jimbo Fisher.
Finally saw The Black Phone today. Meh. The best thing about it was the trailer for Smile. THAT looks as creepy AF.
