Good luck, dork: A Colorado man who shot dead a gunman armed with an assault rifle but was then himself killed by police has been hailed as a hero. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jun/28/colorado-gunman-police-officer-killed
It just doesn't make sense that you wouldn't carry it all the time if you wanted to be prepared for a mass shooting
Which begs the further question of why he is taking his family to an event he believes will have a mass shooting?
I think that’s probably everyone’s first thought but there will be some that begin shooting and undoubtedly kill innocent people. The better thing is not to add guns to the equation.
Cross posting from the smiley thread as it's been used here twice in like an hour. @Mods get on it stat
Maybe dukebuckeye means not carrying it when he is out alone only when he is with his family. Or not carrying it when he is visiting friends and family. That means he’d carrying whenever he was in an unknown public situation with his family. It still doesn’t make sense to me but it’s not inconsistent and doesn’t mean he’d have to “be strapped 100% of the time”.
The event he was referring to was the shooting at the fourth of july parade, something alongs the lines of "if something like this happens", implying he'd know to strap up for a holiday parade.
obviously but how are they advocating that? How did they package that so people would be like “yeah we need to give the Nazis a fair shake” .
There is a ying to a yang to about anything. For instance, everybody in this thread is on the side that Watson absolutely did something to some point and we have you on the other side being a dipshit.
"You should talk about these atrocities that have happened in history, but you also do have an obligation to point out the value that each individual brings to the table," Fowler Arthur said.
It sucks that Twitter kills the board because right now would be a great time to use the @Dril tweet of not, actually, having to hand it to them.
Probably something like "here's how these people handled their gypsy problem. The same gypsy problem plaguing Ohio!"
The Alabama mall shooting a few years ago ended up with a good guy with a gun being shot in the back back a cop, and the actual shooter escaped and was later arrested.
The league is going to get a lot more heat for whatever suspension it gives being too short than our legal system did for Watson facing zero charges for his actions. This is sad.
Well, you see, the shortness of his suspension will be a definitive method of confirming his guilt or innocence.
yes it is but let's what until someone other than Tony Rizzo of 850 ESPN Cleveland reports it before we treat it like news.
Raped? Pretty sure we’d be debating how many years in prison compared to how many games he’ll miss. Don’t take that as defending him. That’s just not a word to casually throw out there.
EDIT: Disregard, it says Tony Rizzo but for some reason I read Tony Grossi. Too many Italian Tony's in Cleveland media. Tony Rizzo is a drunk and a clown.
