yea, that one worked out for both teams. Fish still have a ton of pitching so you can give them an edge here. They need to be making a few more of these trades. They have an embarassment of riches arm wise in the minors while the bats all look meh at best.
So at what point do we start worrying about Trevor Rodgers? 5.87 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 28 walks in only 53 innings.
Watson was a top 5 player in the draft who fell because of signability issues. All they had to do was be willing to pony up the money and they couldn't lose. But yeah, Connor Scott MEH JJ Bleday MEH Cameron Misner MEH Max Meyer and Watson look like the only good picks they have made in the top of the draft in 4 years. Not good enough at all.
Trade the farm for Juan Soto and sign him to a massive deal You now have a completely revived franchise
Why do people care who starts the ASG? Marlins twitter people/media flipping out over this is so silly.
This team is way more than 1 bat away from playoff contention. The problem is that it would be like Bure on the Panthers. All the salary tied up in one player and AAA fodder filling out the rest of the lineup. If they were to committ to being a team with a 150 million + payroll, they could make it work, but they never will. Because it "should" have been Sandy as the best pitcher in all of baseball so far this year and they desperately want people to pay attention to a team that deserves little to no attention.
I'm not saying Sandy didn't "deserve it" - he's obviously the best in baseball right now - I just dont know why people care about an ASG start especially when the guy who IS starting is getting the hometown treatment. I dont see what's wrong with that but what I do know im not a know-it-all baseball writer.
I follow you. I'm saying they are upset because he deserved it AND they desperately want people to pay attention to the Marlins. The same people who are upset are the same people who refuse to acknoledge that the whole Jeter era was one big pile of meh that hasn't done anything to improve the outlook of the organization.
Fanbase screaming for the org to make trades and I’m sitting here terrified of any potential deals they make.
We are obviously an extremely pitcher heavy organization, but the only guy besides Sandy (untouchable) who has any trade value would be Pablo. Like you I have zero faith that the front office would get a fair value for him
She is quickly working her way up the shit list Wanted to give her a chance, but she has done nothing but disappoint so far
This team is an embarrassment. At least marlins Twitter is being forced to see that all the hitting prospects are trash.
Couldn’t even finish above .500 with that terrible pitching. What a reversal this organization has seen. Fun fact, Wei-Yin Chen earned $470,000 per inning that year
This is some mind blowing shit, maybe I can get a contract offer based on my HS stats from almost 20 years ago
Idk about you but I’m super pumped to see what bargain dumpster finds Ng can pull…. Can’t wait to see Kole Calhoun the return of Adam Duvall
0 dollars spent so far. But they announced the coaching staff. This has to be the worst run organization in all of sports at this point right? Literally nobody wants to play here. They can't even get a 38 year old infielder who is from down here to sign. He's looking for ANYONE else to offer him a contract.
