OSU does a decent job keeping the secondary resale market in house and among OSU fans/alumni. It helps that Columbus metro is 2 million plus and doesn’t have much competing against OSU for sports dollars.
1/2 of our gameday attendees fly in from out of town. It makes our ticket marketplace substantially different than most.
I had tickets to Cincinnati last year and was going to couple it with a college visit for my daughter. Hotel room availability was nonexistent.
Yep. That and it’s all 2 or 3 night minimums. You can get lucky with some last minute rooms the week of, but I wouldn’t bank on that for your first and potentially only visit to South Bend.
I feel like there must be a right of passage for first time coaches, in order to get interviewed by any real reporter you have to take Dodds bullshit. It must be in the union bylaws.
Ohio State set a record this year for season ticket pre sales. We were at 53,606 at the end of March. That total doesn’t include students or faculty/staff. OSU had a single game sale today to alumni club members. I logged on as soon as the window opened and had over 2000 in front of me for Notre Dame tickets. I got two in the upper C Deck near the closed end zone. The ticket market for this game is going to be insane once we get closer to it.
is he tall, white and does not have any unique features or tattoos? if so, I am sure you have another TE on the roster who looks just like him
every PSU and ND TE for the last 10 years has more or less looked the exact same with very minor exceptions
This back and forth on the No. 1 spot for 247 team recruiting rankings has kept June/July interesting.
I think we may only really have visibility into 1-3 more commitments before September, so don't pull away from us too bad in August
We won't. It's the SEC guys that end up signing 30+ by the time December rolls around that is a stinker.
Wow. If I was Marcus Freeman I’d do two things: 1) Hang this tweet in every player’s locker 2) Make another completely benign statement about the different academic options at ND and OSU
He used to write for Eleven Warriors, then ran unsuccessfully for a state representative spot in a deep red district in farm country. He’s very unhinged, but usually funny.
There you have it folks, this is osu’s super bowl while it’s just a normal game for nd. That’s why they will come out on fire and nd will look shellshocked all game long.
Let’s revisit the ND offensive line. Tell me about it. New starters, returning starters, NFL talent, likelihood of being a team strength. The OSU DL got pushed around by Michigan. Personally, I am hoping our 2021 true freshmen step into starting roles because they showed real promise in limited action. We have Zach Harrison returning at DE, who has NFL round 1-3 talent, but is inconsistent. We have two seniors Tyler Friday and Jean-Baptiste who I hope don’t play. Jack Sawyer and Tuimoloau were top-10 overall recruits in 2021 and should be starting at DE. DT has seniors Jeron Cage and Taron Vincent. Sophomores Hamilton and Tyleik Williams should be starting, but won’t.
LT is Joe Alt- freakishly athletic true sophomore from Minnesota - projected first rounder LG is going to be 5th SR Jarret Patterson who was a three year starter at Center- skipped the NFL draft to return projected 3rd to 4th rounder Center is Zeke Corral from Ohio- RS JR- he’s undersized but is very good at center (not projected to NFL) RG is 6th YR Senior Josh Lugg who has started at just about every position but not projected to NFL RT is true soph Blake Fisher- he’s ND’s best OL and should’ve been the #1 OL recruit in 2020 but Covid- he’s a future NFL 1st Rounder it should be a really good group on paper not sure how physical they will be but they should be outstanding in pass protection
The most critical match up in this game will be whether ND slows big plays in the OSU passing game. No one slowed down the passing game down the stretch last season, even against Michigan, Stroud threw for 400 with no interceptions. We bogged down once we got to the red zone though, and Michigan killed us on that, Penn State and Nebraska forced 8 FGs. The ND OL versus OSU DL is the most important. Michigan bullied our DL. I really hope our DL coach Larry Johnson doesn’t play these seniors out of loyalty because the younger guys are better.
