I haven’t watched or listened in a few months. He is a narcissist beyond measure but Bert seems like he’s a genuinely good guy.
Those two personality traits usually are at odds. I’m sure he’s great to his friends and can come off as an asshole to random cashiers at gas stations and what not
Was YMH the first to find and talk about Andrew Tate? Cobra is now making the rounds with barstool, Adin Ross and some other bigger YouTube channels.
I watched a 2 Bears about a month ago on YouTube and got a commercial on average every 4 minutes. That doesn’t count the “reads” either, just the 15-30 second commercials. It’s worse than a CBS college football game.
Watching it on appletv on the YouTube app. I’m old, but I have google so I’ll read up on this option.
I listen to their mp3 podcasts and the ads are still just getting worse. They’ve partnered with a company that inserts dynamic ads now too. Absurd.
It’s so bad. I can’t begin to estimate the number of hours I’ve enjoyed listening to them burp, fart, and snort through the craziest stories and clips. I’ve got a couple of friends at work who get the inside jokes and that’s about the only thing that keeps me checking in. Ads are fine, the number of ads they’ve settled on ruins the entire flow of the segments. At least in TV they wait on a change of possession or the punchline of the scene before they interrupt. Tom’s mid sentence about his dad dying and I get a Hertz and a Red Lobster read.
Whelp I’m done with YMH stuff. Can only take hearing the same shit over and over from rich gen x boomers and complaining about trans people for so long. Imagine taking Josh Hawley’s side on anything.
Yeah. That was awful. I skipped forward a bunch of times and they just kept going on and on…then they circled back. That’s probably it for me too.
Isn’t Schulz’s whole schtick being like a right wing edgelord type reactionary? Like if Steven Crowder and Ari Shaffir had a baby? Like the kind of guy that talks a lot about free speech and cancel culture because he’s a prick?
But I haven’t listened to much in the Bert/Tom universe in a while. Bert is too much and while I really like Tom a lot he seems to have had Rogan/Chapelle type cancel shit rub off on him a little and Christina mostly sucks if she has any take on anything serious. She’s real dumb and a caricature of a stupid gen-Xer who thinks she’s interesting and less of a pussy because of being in her generation
I still love Tom. I wish he kept better company. Outside of Bert(who clearly has his own shortcomings), he's basically surrounded by chuds.
I'll keep listening until they make it impossible. I'm too invested and there's too much good content. Just have to fast forward when Tina goes on one of her "I'm an Eastern Blocker, and everyone's a pussy" rants.

Schulz is very much a reactionary brand comedian but he's become friends with hasan and picks his brain about politics a lot even if he doesn't agree so maybe he isn't totally a lost cause. I've come to hate Christina.
I started listening back when Flagrant 2 incorporated more sports talk, because other than probably Burr, most comedians don’t know or care about sports. There was a time and place they had some really funny takes on the NBA and NFL. That said, I have only listened to maybe one episode of their podcast since they switched to the couch/live studio audience vibe. The broken flow of the whole podcast and the dogshit audio wasn’t worth the time.
berts a good instagram follow but awful otherwise. but i'm a very weird person who doesn't really listen to podcasts so my consumption is all youtube clips/etc.

I thought Tate's whole persona was a bit at that point. I have to assume the YMH folks did too. Surprised they haven't said a word about it.
I thought the episode with tate was great but my only exposure to him at the time was through YMH clips. Oops. I think they made a small side comment in an episode months ago around when tate was arrested the first time. I doubt they’re gonna say anything now (or maybe they will three months from now since they stockpile all the episodes) but I’ve also stopped listening to all their stuff.
I think they kinda alluded to it on 2 bears a couple times when Tate first got arrested and Danny Brown mentioned Tate a handful of times on his show. All references being basically that guy/situation is crazy.

I always thought it was really weird how he is always so quick to say that he doesn’t cheat on his wife. The frequency with which it comes up is something only someone who very much cheats on their wife would do.
