Yep, its the exact stance he took when fans told him how much his portrayal of Jackie Robinson meant to them.
Yeah but this cast/ director are still clearly grieving his loss. Im fine with them taking some time to mourn before moving on. Pretty obvious there will be another mutliverse version of tchalla at some point Exactly. All these deadlines are self-imposed anyway Its not like some mom-and-pop comic book outfit is hot on marvel's heels. Theyre pretty much a monopoly, DC isnt a serious threat outside of cartoon movies
That I understand, but to say he should never be recast and the actor immortalized through for his 1 standalone movie is just short sighted. Characters like Batman, Spiderman, Black Panther, Professor X's impact is that they are enduring forms of media that lasts basically until the medium of comics ceases to exist. 50 years from now, your grandkids can learn about the king of Wakanda and look up to a black superhero too, and to say you only get to watch 1 movie with him as the main character because his actor from the 2020s passed away goes against everything these characters represent.
Good points. It's entirely likely that, if the work environment improves, we will see more VFX houses spring up as the work becomes more attractive.
jfc to these posts. you can like marvel and its movies and still be critical of the company. "it's a problem with every designer." "it's the system!" "all big companies are the same." did you even read the fucking article? it literally says marvel is the problem - they produce so many movies so firms can't afford to not complete the projects (and the firms themselves are underbidding to try and get the work) - vfx is staffed at 20% the level of non-marvel movies according to this one account - marvel tinkers throughout the process more than any other company, increasing the workload - marvel requires more "finished production-type" vfx compared to other companies early in the process - and other issues (like marvel lacking expertise throughout the projects) it sounds shitty and marvel should be better.
BP2 trailer looked cool. I’ll be intrigued to see how the movie turns out since the production was horribly dysfunctional.
Because it was horribly rushed and done at the 11th hour, literally like 2-3 months before theatrical release.
No one is absolving Marvel from being shitty. I mentioned the SAO and my wife being a teacher because large entities put massive pressure on them with ever changing work expectations and altering rules and conditions on the fly.
First off I won’t apologize for being correct. This is America and you can suck it second off how dare you
I don't know why people are mad at Marvel and not Disney, the company that owns them. And yes they should recast black panther and will when they're ready to make more films with him. After all Warner made more joker films and no one was saying not to.
I saw it the Tuesday after it released but I forgot I ignored this thread beforehand so I could avoid spoilers
I wonder who would want that role so soon after his death. The pressure of that would be insane. It sucks on every level, but I think this is probably the best way if they were going to make a movie for this early of a release.
I mean it was okay. It needed more Gorr. I almost walked out if they had killed my Sif. Just like in the first two Thor movies, Natalie Portman sucked in it.
I am uber excited for Wakanda Forever and hope Namor isn’t an one off character because he is going to be amazing and the actor has a wonderful story that Marvel should capitalize on
Finally all caught up in the MCU... DS2 was really good Love and Thunder was really meh Ms. Marvel was meh AMA
I just don’t know if I was supposed to be wowed by the revelation that it was Kamala doing the stars for her grandma’s escort at the train station. That seemed apparent from the moment her grandma mentioned it, and especially once she got time-traveled.
Origin tales can be really hit or miss. The show is what it is, I'm curious to see how they utilize her moving forward
Ms Marvel is the first show I haven't been hyped to jump into immediately. Haven't even started it yet. The character and relevance just falls super flat for me.
I'm even less interested in She Hulk. Copies of existing characters just usually aren't interesting to me.
Her powers have just always bored the hell out of me so I've never been inclined to get invested in the character. She's the Jubilee of the Avengers-side of Marvel for me.
The marvel show with a minority woman as the lead is the one that has the least amount of interest from a bunch of SEC posters
Are you ok? This is the first time I think I’ve seen you not tripping over your dick to Stan a marvel actress.
Portman is just a preference of mine and Wright is more of a moral principle of not liking dumbasses who ignore science and reality
