I don't think Nash has proven anything as a coach, so I'm not going to defend him like he's good at it. That said, I don't know who the hell could have walked into that situation two years ago and managed much better out of the absurdity that organization has gone through the last two years, much of which was due to stuff Durant and Kyrie either pushed for or were at the center of.
Arguably Durants big ass foot away from being coach Bud rn. The whoa is us related to dealing kyrie Irving is totally lost on me. Durant is an other worldly player who kinda sounds like just a dude on a team rather than a bona fide leader relative to his peers in the history of the game.
worst thing that's happened is the "drive the bus" narrative because he's bought into it. there's some bizarre notion that to earn his place among the greats he has to be at the helm and some dudes just are not meant for that responsibility and pushing them towards it is dumb and dumb stuff ensues. all people need to be telling Durant is when the next practice or game is and that's it. dude is built to play , just leave him be. on his side that means he needs to just stfu and show up.
Nash ran Durant into the ground the last 2 months of the regular season. Then Ime Udoka ran circles around him. Some truth to the DO SOMETHING BRO meme
I don't think Nash is a good coach. He might be a terrible one. But the reasons Nash felt he had no choice but to ride Durant into the ground down the stretch are almost entirely because of choices Durant and Kyrie made or pushed the organization to make, so it's kind of hard for me to take Durant's side on that one. Especially since he was allegedly the one who wanted Nash.
God damn just a genius post called Snake n Flake for Durant and Kyrie. Gonna need Chuck to run with that this year.
I think Ben Simmons should pull a Starbury and go play in a foreign country. He would light it up in Australia and not have these issues
Kyrie’s gap in what he thinks his IQ is compared to what it actually is drifts pretty close to Trump’s gap.
I'm cool with the league retiring #6, but am curious why Russell had to die first before they did it. Wouldn't it have been cooler to do that while he was still alive?
There are a rare few players who meant enough to the game that their number should be retired league wide. Bill Russel absolutely belongs on that list. (So does Jordan)
