We have hundreds of members here on the-mainboard.com. From all walks of life and with backgrounds and careers in things you wouldn’t believe. maybe we can use this thread to ask the questions we were always afraid to ask for the fear of being mocked. Questions about life or a certain profession or anything like that. No questions about magnets plz example: yesterday, I leaned the nursery rhyme “Humpty Dumpty” was actually about a British cannon in the 1640’s that fell off a ledge and all the kings horses and men couldn’t put that fucking thing back on the ledge. (Maybe idk) Science, history, jobs, finance, law, politics, movies, tv, life…anything. This isn’t going to go well, is it?
If we all have different perceptions. How do I know you see exactly what I see when I look in the mirror?
Hey $P1. How do I envelope myself in mediocracy? A: become a Michigan fan boom roasted Edit: cubs, bears and a West Ham fan? You knew nothing but disappointment before I even posted
Lawyers, have you ever been assigned a case where: a. You knew your client was in the wrong, b. You won the judgment/verdict in their favor anyway, c. How did you feel about it afterwards? For several years in HS/undergrad, I seriously contemplated pursuing a law degree, but did not think I could handle the above situation professionally. I’m curious about how rare it actually is.
to answer your question, I think you can find “wrong” and “right” in most cases. In the few cases where I was like, oh yeah my client really fucked that up, then we settled.
It’s absorbed mainly in the duodenum and the jejunum of the small intestine, via passive transport regulated by hydrostatic pressure and osmotic gradients.
My bro in law defends dirtbags. he says that if he wins/gets his guy off, it’s almost always because cops, prosecutors fucked something up or did something shady, tried to cut a corner. So he feels like catching them on that bull shit makes everyone else a little safer from getting railroaded themselves
it sucks but one of the best things about this country is everyone deserves a vigorous defense. If the prosecutors fuck that up that’s their problem. But the underbelly of the legal system is grotesque.
On top of this, just ensuring the state meets its burden before it exercises its power to deprive someone of their liberty protects every single person. Even and maybe especially when you're defending a dirtbag
Representing a scumbag in civil court seems much harder to me than criminal court. But lawyers generally are mostly bought into upholding what little integrity our system has so you can still find your way to justification if you have scruples.
For Buckeyes, I’d say it’s much more that people stick to the public team thread or just don’t really post at all than that
its actually quite a few things: never forget the way you feel right now forgive himself if we dont go all the way tonight do it better than he does it with you see that its time to move on screw around plus the unsaid vaccination thing
Would the hateful people at Chick Fil A call the cops if you waved a pride flag in front of one of their locations?
I’d be more concerned that while most customers there aren’t going because the political beliefs of their owner that there might be a random crazy with a gun
