Thanks man, already feeling considerably better. Had chills/fever yesterday from about 4pm-9pm. Fever broke and took a shower and felt like a new man. This morning, most of congestion is gone. Still a little tenderness in throat.
We were in a wedding in tulsa last weekend with 200+ and have came out covid free. Figured we’d be positive after that shitshow of a time.
Yeah I’m sure it’s fine. She said she’s going to wear a mask the whole time and our kid is good about wearing his and fully vaccinated. She keeps asking me if I want her to cancel the trip and I keep telling her she has to make that decision herself. I don’t always have to play the “bad guy”.
I got it this week too. Similar immune response Felt scratchy throat Monday pm, by Wednesday am I was fatigued and Wednesday nite I sweated thru my shirt and sheets overnite. Shower and a Gatorade had me back to normalish. Lost most of my taste and still have a runny nose but feeling much better.
Day 6. Only had one day of chills/fever in day2. Since it’s been either no symptoms or an occasional cough. Random runny nose that will only last like an hour here and there. Still tested positive yesterday though. 5 year old is himself but still poisitive too.
average daily cases below 10,000 for the first time in nearly two months in FL. becoming an annual tradition for cases to dip just in time for football season
where do you see florida numbers? I haven't seen anything posted for awhile from the people I followed who used to give out updates
they usually do an update every Friday afternoon https://www.tampabay.com/news/healt...h-risk-of-covid-as-students-return-to-school/
4 year old has a bad cough and fever and tested negative no symptoms with the infant. i just got a massive headache and body aches and lost all energy so if i ever get the energy i am gonna get a test and see what’s up second teacher in the baby room was negative so that particular class is shut down for the week cool
My kids started school yesterday. We got emails today that both classes have had direct covid exposure (someone tested positive from each class yesterday/today). We made it one day into the school year.

I like how people are just ok with getting wrecked for 2 weeks every other month because masks are too uncomfortable.
This is going to result in a lot of folks that think they just have a cold (and right wing antivax folks that are actually feeling really shitty) to go out and about like nothing is wrong
Something else I’ve noticed that might be a side effect of the last couple of years is people coming into my office that are sick (bad cough, congested, look like shit) and they say “well it isn’t Covid I tested negative” and all I can think is “I don’t care what it is I don’t want it.” Like pre all of this I think these people would’ve stayed home, but now the thought is that bc it isn’t Covid it’s cool. Flu season is going to be interesting.
It’s funny you mention that. I agree it’s changed over the past 2+ years. I also remember back at the start of all this I’d think of all the people who’d freak out about getting sick from the person who came in with a stuffed nose or something are probably now the same people who were downplaying COVID.
Had some sinus pressure/beginning of a sore throat Friday Much worse congestion Saturday and the addition of chills/sweats. No fever. General lethargy. I've at-home swabbed twice now, yesterday and today. Both negative. Thought I was feeling better after lunch today, did some light work outside. Chills/sweats are back. I can feel the pressure filling up my head again. And now I'm sounding a little raspy in my lungs. Do I go to the PCP for swab three tmw? Hope it's just non-Covid Upper Respiratory thing?
Dear diary, Day 1: extreme tiredness which brought on a sudden mid-day nap to be followed by fever & chills Day 2: extreme congestion Days 3-6: allergy-like symptoms, teary eyes and alight nasal drip. Nap needed med afternoon. Days 7-8: congestion/drip basically gone, persistent throat irritation/dry cough. By day 8 nap no longer needed. Day 9: same as 7-8 but add in intense headache Day 10: woke up last night and could hardly put weight on pad of left foot, but went away by time done going pee-pee. Wake up in morning and pain from middle of night is back and will not go away. And it is worse. Can not even wiggle my toes with food elevated and supprted. FUCK, I NEED TO WORK
My wife has had weird lingering effects too. Seems mostly over them but she says her taste and smell still isn't right
Most folks aren’t testing positive on rapid until a few days in. I’d keep testing at home rather than go into a doc’s office to test (unless they have drive up testing from car).
Knew it was likely when I went, but woke up with a cough after getting home from DEFCON. Masks were mandatory and enforced, but oh well. Just a cough and congestion at the moment, first time I’ve caught it, Three full Moderna shots in me, though none recent. I’m more concerned for my son who attended with me. He hasn’t tested positive yet and no symptoms but his senior year starts Wednesday and district policy is if you miss the first day for ANY reason, you are unenrolled. Fucking madness.
Joining the club, my 3 year old son got it on vacation. We drove from NY to SC and stayed at a beach house w a tested family. My wife went inside one store for 10 minutes w him to buy toys on Friday, she wore a mask but he didn’t because he’s been ripping them off lately. He started throwing up at 4am on Sunday and had a 104 fever all day, seems to be subsiding now he’s down to 100, not really any other symptoms. Worried about my 5 month old tho even tho it doesn’t seem to hit kids too hard
The south deserves to be glassed. That’s pretty much what it comes down to or just build a wall around it and let them kill each other in like a jihad after I’ve left of course
