Every highlight I see is Baker doing stupid things. Very exciting to have someone who can draw focus from O'Keefe.
pretty accurate . the barrage of hate from media and fans was unlike I remember for one of the most entertaining offenses I have seen
Its honestly so baffling. That team was a super fun team to watch. Underdog mentality led by a 1 handed guy who just attacked. Fun uniforms, offense, players, etc. Weird how we went from yayyy Boise you beat Oklahoma to fuck off UCF you are supposed to lose to Auburn.
The thing is the team wasn't hated at all during the season or the bowl game. All of the hate was after it was all over with the National Championship, which again was only celebrated locally (rings, in-stadium, downtown party, Disney World) but people HAATTTTTTED that. Had nothing to do with the actual team though which remains incredibly likable between KZ and Griffin as the faces of that team.
I started to dislike the sport as a whole more during that year bc of the reaction. so much condensation and if I remember accurately it was during the season too(Tuesday ranking show) not just after the Natty claim. night and day compared to how they treated Cinci
I rewatched that bowl game the other day. The fact we beat Auburn and KZ was absolute trash for 2+ quarters still amazes me.
idk man the fact that our fans were watching this team all year and insisting that we belonged pissed off a LOT of people during the season. By the time the Auburn game was coming around, all they could talk about was how we were gonna get wrecked, especially with Frost having 1.5 feet out the door.
Yeah but thats typical G5 stuff. No different than Cincy this past year or every Boise/TCU team from before. What got us on this list in particular is what happened after the season. The only other thing that made 2017 stand out was because the P5 conferences weren't having great cases for the playoff either, ultimately leading to Alabama who didn't make their own conference title game get in.
Ohhhh yeah, forgt about Mayfield and his planting a flag at midfield ( I think that was Ohio State ).
I imagine Coach Martin is gonna have offers thrown his way soon. We need to give him a big raise to keep him in his hometown.
I’m sure playing next to John Walker is a great selling point. This kid always seemed to be leaning towards us and just posted he was committed and didn’t play any weird games. I like it.
Oh didn't realize the video had gold pants. That virtual locker room is pretty cool although entirely unnecessary, haha.
Are we really wearing the XII this season before we are even in the conference? That's kinda cringey if so.
Does anyone have a feel for the teams gonna be? Seems like there are clear #1 weapons everywhere except QB
