Get Points for = Goals + Assists + Clean Sheets + Bonus Points (basically game involvement) All, except bonus points, are scored higher for Defense --> Midfield --> Forwards Only Mids and Defs get Clean Sheet points thats basically it every week, Captaincy pick is crucial. And who your 1st off bench is, esp when someone tests covid+. I would fuck mine up practically every week last season. thats why an Ngolo Kante type may be one of the best players in the world...but a terrible FPL asset. No scoring involvement.
template is 2, and overwhelmingly Jesus + Haaland. Then most are picking an 8.0 Midfielder too when going that route. some are trying to go to 3 Strikers which used to be the consensus lineup back in the day. Most are waiting to see what Darwin does tomorrow. Callum Wilson, Mitrovic, etc. If you go 3 up top...then youre settling on 5.5 mids which is risky without many data points on a Brendan Aaronson or Eze or Neto, etc. I got burned by Leon Bailey. Value pricing is with Defenders and GKs. You can come up with a 5-3-2 lineup or 4-4-2 where you just set-and-forget (regardless of opponent) your Keeper and Defense. Once youve locked in that portion of your team plus Salah, you figure out the rest. At 9:30pm est every night player prices rise and fall like the stock market based on transactions made. http://www.fplstatistics.com/
you get 1 transfer each week, anything more than that is -4 points. you can only carry over max 1 extra unused transfer. you get 1st wildcard that you have to use before gameweek 16, which affords you unlimited transfers then everything pauses for worldcup, rare exception this year is during that break you get more unlimited transfers. then in 2nd semester you get 2nd wildcard. Which we can discuss strategy on how to utilize that after boxing day.
Elite FWDs carry a small tax IMO and their goals count 20% less than MDs. With that said, I have 3 FWDs now, Kane, Vardy and Jesus. I'll be dropping Kane or Vardy asap unless crazy returns in GW3-4ish.
preseason, I definitely did not see this kind of selection issue re: Darwin/Jota/Diaz and to a lesser extent Bobby Chompers.
With Eriksen dropping tonight, all 17 Man U players who have featured this year have now dropped in price after 2 game weeks. Amazing
I just picked up Martinelli this morning. Can’t wait to drop Gordon next week. I will not finish last. That is my goal.
Try not to knee jerk and take hits. If you’re on Reddit, R/FantasyPL is a terrific sub for just about everything.
Feel like it’ll be chasing points, but that goal and his price point probably make Rodrigo essential.
Spent 4 points on an extra move to create room to bring in Haaland but captained Salah who apparently just watched that drubbing
pretty much me every week of every season. didnt think it could get worse than triple captaining Leroy Sane in a double gameweek, to only see him play 30 minutes due to Pep's bs....but then we all just witnessed Salah get no returns in a 9-0 win.
Lot of folks captained Dennis last year for his dgw where he red carded early in the first match. Mane had a brutal dgw triple captaincy a few years back too. This is why I’m wary of the threemium template. Much easier when trying to decide between two premiums with the odd TAA/Jesus captaincy when fixtures turn.
this weeks about to be a disaster Reece James injured Zaha pouting b/c he wants a transfer Haaland about to begin his ride on Pep Roulette?
I think it’s more likely Haaland rests this weekend with UCL and Spurs next week, but you never know with Pep. Switched it to him from Mo at the last minute.
Mitro looking essential for those planning to WC in the next few GWs. Really nice run of games after Spurs/Chelsea.
