Thanks. I use Camavinga as my backup for Casemiro so I’m familiar with him. How many more years do Modric and Kroos have in the tank?
That’s the million dollar question. My guess is that at least one if not both of them are done after this season. Luka is 37 and Kroos’ contract is up at the end of the year has said before that he doesn’t invision playing late in to his 30s
You and everybody else that watches this game. Much like “what exactly constitutes a catch in the NFL” nobody seems to truly know.
It’s been an interesting development for sure. I don’t blame him for considering any offer than would not only double his salary to something in the €20M range but also tack on an additional 2 years. He just signed an extension last August but if the club was adamant about keeping him they’d toss him an extra couple million and be done with it. You could make a compelling argument that while they don’t want to sell they’re more than happy to accept $70-80M for him as he is on the wrong side of 30 and while he’s still on top of his game his best days are (or will be rather quickly) behind him. The issue is that the club doesn’t “need” the money and moving him clearly weakens the squad. Titles are the only currency that matters at Real and his skill and leadership are invaluable in that pursuit. I don’t see it happening unless they get an insane offer they just can’t turn down or Casemiro himself decides he wants to move on. I doubt either of those things happen. A year from now might be a different story.
Sounds like he may be gone….I don’t like that at all but for the reasons pointed Real should be okay. Casemiro brings such a presence that is hard to quantify. Always played well in the big moments.
all but official at this point and pretty wild that Cas is the first of the trio to leave, def gonna be sad to see him go but wish him the best Kroos out tomorrow too so it’ll be interesting to see what Carlo does
Luka is going to be the Tom Brady of soccer (without the PEDs and mouth kissing his son), dominating the MF into his 40’s.
yeah he's been dreadful today the service in general has been dogshit to start the season, Kroos and Modric have largely struggled as well
