Watching highlights. Jesus first goal was sublime and could’ve had a hat trick in the first half. Vardy is such a twat.
We look good fam. It's hard to imagine after moments in the last few years but seeing them in Orlando, then the first two games this season...G Jesus looks like a god out there. I couldn't find a good stream so I paid the Peacock fee to watch the game today and it was so worth it.
I want a Jesus jersey. But I live in bumfuck USA and don’t know the reaction I’d get if I wore it out. Shame.
I appreciate the frugality but couldn’t we spring for British Airways or at least Vueling given Edu’s recent record?
>flo started for reims >flo won a penalty for reims >flo scored a penalty for reims >flo did this all in the first half
I really like Nuno, glad he’s doing well there and hope he learns how to defend because his ability going forward can be devastating
Listening to the pods now, though Xhaka had a fantastic game but I’m itching to see ESR, Viera or even Sambi at that left 8.
I don’t understand that with how he’s playing Even when getting dumb yellows recently(that a lot get passes for) he’s toed the line great on not picking up a 2nd yellow Knock on wood
I wouldn’t drop him or anything but his role in the last two games have been much more advanced and seems perfect for ESR
Arsecast, ArsenalVision, legrove (most homerish), the guardian football weekly, handbrake off, Tuesday Club, the athletic football podcast, totally football show, second captains, ringer fc first 2 are musts, guardian is good for general EPL, Ken early on second captains is really good, Tuesday club is the most ridiculous when they actually do a podcast
After watching this game I would like to revise my prior comment and disclaim interest in Tielemans. Jorts is right that he’s a Xhaka replacement, not Partey cover, and last game was both a reminder that Tielemans isn’t that special and Xhaka is much better in this role than in a more defensive midfielder role, so even if we need Partey insurance, it ought to come from someone who is more reliable in defense. Maybe that’s Zinchenko, Elneny is probably fine in a pinch for a game or two, but we still seem most susceptible to injury (or arrest) there and at 9.
Agree but on days where we’re rampant or need an offensive change, having Zinchenko, Partey, and White/Tomi in midfield in possession while ESR/Sambi/Viera vs Xhaka have more license in attack seems promising/interesting
Tielemans is pretty damn good at what he does. He was just neutralized Saturday. I still want him (sign all the players), but we need a wide forward more at the moment.
But don't we need Partey insurance more than Xhaka insurance? And no, I can't believe I typed that either.
I don’t see how ESR regularly gets into the squad, without injuries. Think he’ll be used off the bench, as a “Super-sub” mostly. We’ll see him mostly in the cups, Europa group stage & bottom half of the table.
Sure, but there really isn’t Partey insurance out there. Something happening to him would dictate a change in how we setup & play
you know what else is crazy to type? That I’m completely comfortable that Edu and SuperMik have the tools they need to solve it and if they don’t feel like they have the tool, then I trust the organization completely to find the right one
