i remember that there was a controversy about these. They look good to me and I’ll patiently wait for my L along with the L for the amm 4s that also drop in November.
Sold a load of gently used shoes today at my local shop. The used market amuses me. Will probably regret a few of them
Nothing spectacular. Mostly ones and yeezys and 2 pairs of dunks. Did sell new foam runners $20 over stockx but they charge $280.
Ehhhh it's cool until you realize Nike is killing all mom and pop shops by canceling their accounts. Don't get me wrong, I get why Nike is doing it. Selling direct is more profitable. But doing this while also killing all mom and pops is pretty shitty.
Like most things i dont care to look past the surface these days. I like the story and packaging and thats about as deep as i care to think about it.
Its shitty. And im not a fan at all of the direction theyre going pretty much squeezing everyone out. Even the big chains.
The large stores have such shitty shoes. It’s amazing to me how many pairs they sell at Academy, Dicks, and places like that. They have Nikes that look like af1, and am1 but much crappier. They do have air monarchs but that’s about the only og type shoe they ever carry. Those stores need to focus only on Hoka, Brooks, Mizuno, Saucony, Asics, On, etc and tell Nike to take their garbage elsewhere.
If we looked at every vile thing done in the name of capitalism we’d never buy anything or just buy fake shit which is a slightly lesser evil.
“There is no ethical consumption in capitalism” was a statement intended to imply we should live with less. I say it when I buy chick-fil-a
Sold a pair of Yeezy's on GOAT/Alias. Brand new pair I got from Adidas that did not fit well. Were on my feet in my kitchen for about 2 minutes. Sold. Sent them in. They said you need to offer a discount the shoes are used and the box was badly damaged. They sent pictures. Look brand new because they were and the box had no damage. I explained I see literally nothing wrong with them from the pictures and they said sorry can't sell them we'll keep them or you can have them shipped back.
Did you re-tie the laces like they come? I try not to try on pairs I may sell bc it's hard to make them look fully unworn. Wearing them even for 2 minutes may have left some cheese marks in the boost too.
Nope. Just slipped them on. Walked in them for a minute to see how they fit. Wife said she didn't like them and they didn't fit well so put them right back in. More annoyed about the "badly damaged box" which I see nothing wrong with from the picture they sent.
Damn that sucks. The worst part is they can send them back, you sell them again, and odds are they go through no issue. There's so much luck in who the worker is that handles the package.
The hilarious part is I got two pairs of the same shoes. The first pair I didn't even try on because I knew the other ones were coming so I immediately sold them. The box showed up and was beat to hell. Passed without issue.
Stockx has get more strict as well. Sold a pair of 350s and they said they had manufacturer defects. I then sold them on Ebay but they were rejected there as well. Said they were a manufacturer b-grade shoe. When I got them back, I realized Stockx had put a barcode sticker on the inside of the box that labeled it in case the shoes were resubmitted.
FWIW I was watching a YouTube of some guy that buys tons of sneakers at conventions and stuff and he’d explain that “tried on” counts as worn and he said he couldn’t sell them as DS. If you even think you might sell them don’t even try them on.
I ordered two pairs of little kids Jordan 1’s for my niece and nephew off of the Nike app (size 10c and 12c), and when they arrived today I received two identical pairs of big kids size 6 Blazer 77s. Wtf Nike.
I hate soda. I drink a coke once every other month if that but I really thought these were cool. Really soft suede. They remind me of 4s but they are older.
Are the Jordan low Black and Smoke, Dunk Vast Grey, and Dunk froskates, gonna be hard to get? Can never tell what's gonna sit and what I have little to no chance at.
Stockx received a pair from me eight days ago. They still haven’t been authenticated. Not sure why I didn’t sell them local but a high list price hit.
dunks right now are extremely hard to get. 1 lows and miss you can usually get fairly easy. But, if they sell out you’ll probably be able pick up those lows for about 150 on StockX or Goat imo
I’ve bought close to two dozen dunks through Nike (half at least for my gf) and of course didn’t get access. Have bought tons of am1 and didn’t get access to those either. Probably clicking extremely unfair every time gets me the fuck you
Had EA and made these for a good buddy that wanted them and didn’t get it. Also, they made the customization process easier…hope they offer it more often.
So what's the consensus most comfortable shoe these days? I am on my feet a lot for work and I typically do ultra boosts but my ub21s seem to be killing my feet lately. Tried on some Nike Infinity Reacts which seemed comfy but just haven't pulled the trigger on something yet.
Pretty split on UB and Infinity React. Some like one, others like the other. Do you want super soft (UB) or a tad more firm but more bouncy (React)? That seems to be the difference. You know UB, so maybe try to grab some Inifinity React on sale and see how they compare foe you.
Prestos are surprisingly comfortable to me. That neoprene upper fits like a sock but is super breathable. Love them.
