Yeah I mean usually I would. It’s a weird place. There is a culture of being adversarial to twilight golfers. Not to get too long winded, but the owner doesn’t care. The county covers all maintenance costs, and he rakes in the profit from well everything. Pays the employees like shit. Never improves anything. Honestly getting irritated enough I want to create a groundswell to oust the fuck. He “owns” the two places I frequent most. Interestingly, he had another, gave it up like 5 years ago, and it’s awesome now
Can't remember which course at Winstar I played, but the place was so damn waterlogged that I was stunned they let us play.
Nice. I usually see Rob Collins a couple times a week working out. Nice guy and he always says to tell him when I want to go out to Sweetens. He actually played in the member-guest tourney at my club a few weeks ago.
Is this what you have all been talking about? https://www.instagram.com/reel/ChZyKE_AgSw/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
My first round at Kiawah I got paired with a guy who lived on the island and was carrying around his own cooler. He took down 14 beers and shot a 76 on the Ocean Course that day. Said his best round out there was an 1871, meaning 18 beers and shot 71. Crazy shit.
Not long ago my buddy in our golf group brought a friend from high school to play with us. Dude was tall and dressed head to toe in gear from the BBQ restaurant that he managed. had kind of a casual blonde mullet with a goatee. Huge redneck and came off dumb as fuck. First hole he drives it easily 330 and proceeds to make birdie. I think he shot a 66 with several missed short putts. He could have easily been in low 60s. Just an absolute stick and I learned there to never judge a book by its cover on the golf course.
The Aussies seem to be the most obvious departures, and they’re likely going to receive a lot less animus for making the move considering how the PGA Tour has gutted Australian professional golf. They have legitimate reasons for wanting something different.
Had a a guy I worked with about 15 years ago. He was in and out of prison and just didn’t have his life together. However, he could step out on the golf course with flip flops and shoot -10. Could have easily been on some tour if he made different choices in life.
In that tourney I played in a few weeks ago, one of the guys in the group we are paired with is wearing a 4 XL shirt (probably needed 2XL) and some cheap shorts that you can barely see because the shirt is so baggy. He said he hadn’t played in at least a year and looked like that red rocket guy that was on FSU’s sideline. First hole is a 600 yard par 5. He hits a 350 yard bomb that drew perfectly over the trees on the right into the center of the fairway. Then hits a 5 iron from like 245 that drew perfectly around an overhanging tree on the left side of the green to a front left pin to within 8 feet. They ended up using 75% of his shots that day and they had the clubhouse lead after day 1. He wore the same exact outfit the next day.
ok you win the day with these two. played today and shot the best I’ve shot in a long long time (I still suck). First I stayed focused on the intermediate target like you said. Hit all 4 par 3. We won’t talk about the multiple three putts. Second , I played a hybrid tee that’s just about 200 yards shorter than I normally play. Not sure how much the yardage matters as much as the different angles it provides on some holes. It’s probably the tees I should be playing anyway but just cant. regardless, thanks for those two bits. I’m sure I’ll revert back next time around. But being more deliberate about aim point should be something I can keep
This tweet is for sure going to be included in some lawsuit in the next few months. Amazing comments though.
This dude could've been a multiple major winner already. Amazing. I see this and think his window is VERY small before the scar tissue ruins him.
Best youtube channel on the planet right now. I'm almost 40 and I love watching these young 20 year olds hit the ball. Grant and Garrett put out some great content, it's great to see them travel to different locations to mix it up. The recent UK major was more thrilling to watch than most standard pga events.
I do not. Maybe eventually Easy to watch group that has a nice mix of trash talk, good to great golf, subtle sexual references on the course, and playing some great courses across the country. Im hooked.
Anyone who has not watched Good Good yet or any of their sub channels, this should be a good 3 hour introduction.
