Johnny Bench is the second boss and let me just say I’m picking a good time to be out of the country for a week.
It’s like they are trying to make us hate them. Madden week? Let’s give out the most limped dick bosses after that shit Griffey we put out.
I really hope they make Pedro elite after screwing him so bad last year. They probably won't though with him being a program and easy to get. I'd rather he was a BR reward or a huge collection or even a Chase pack. Seems like the best cards are the hard ones to get, which makes sense.
I think there is a way to essentially pre-load a ton of XP through MTO plays. Don’t know if you can have more than one going at a time, but you can stop right before a gate and then play the one game left to cash in those xp when the new program drops.
Damn all the prices are nuts, I grabbed DeGrom and Scherzer with orders overnight intending to close out the Mets program but looks like I can make about 160k on those two orders instead. Should have bought more.
Not sure what defines elite but Pedro’s as good of a SP as any of the other 99s out there attribute wise. good H/9. Outlier 1. 99/99/89 pretty sure no other SP has 89 control with 99 in the other two unless it’s one I don’t have
Yea they chilled on making so many 120+ h/9 this year so his 109 is fine and he has outlier. He looks great to me.
He's not bad, but he's not great either. He Clemente with a little less contact and a little more power. Ranked rewards have been ass all year. Not sure any have made my lineup all year. That sucks bc I prefer it over BR but BR rewards are much better.
I saw it being hotly debated on Reddit so I checked showzone and it is the #6 card looking at true overall (103.12) or meta overall. I’d rather buy it than play 250 innings to get though
fwiw I think there has been some kind of sinker nerfing because it’s the most hittable pitch that Burnes and Bobby throw (the only two guys in my current rotation with a sinker) and I’m having pretty good results by my standards hitting sinkers in the last couple of weeks.
Hmm. I've had some luck on ones low and/or away but the one on the hands when righty/righty or lefty/lefty still give me fits. I swear they speed up 5 feet from the plate.
It makes no fucking sense to me how my brain can tee up a pitch. Obviously I’m not World Series player or anything, but it boggles my mind how a pitch appears complete different depending on the side of the plate the hitter is standing on. Logic here is it doesn’t, but can’t shut that part of my brain down. I catch some right on right action from time to time. High and up fastballs I can hit lefty, but anything waist down, if I make contact, it was luck. Edit: talking inside heat here.
lol I’m the exact opposite, although I’m generally so bad with lefties I’m considering running a lineup just of RHBs and switch hitters
Man I play this game 2-3 hours most weekdays and then fit in a few hours out weekends too and there's still no way to keep up with it all. It's impossible to get the 250 ranked innings, the entire BR program, and 25/30 wins in the event within the time they give. And now this Extreme program too? I'm definitely punting on the event. I'll spend the 100k to buy those cards instead of winning 30 games. I appreciate the content but damn!
You have to just focus on 1-2, unless you’re a full time streamer who can play for 8+ hours a day. I pretty much always do events and part of the BR program. I’ve played 15 ranked games, and they were all in one season.
Yeah I don’t play BR and rarely play events (I’ve only gone for the rewards once this year) and even that isn’t enough to max out the RS gameplay rewards. I just wish they upped the XP rewards for hitting the inning thresholds.
Up until recently, I was just doing 90% ranked. I just enjoy those games more. I don't like 3 inning games and I don't like all star. But I did the last BR program and I'm doing this one. It's a grind but the rewards are 200k cards so it's worth it.
That Pedro showdown is tough lol. I don't remember ever failing a showdown back to back but I haven't come close on that one. I needed 5-7 runs and thats tough off him in 13 outs. My drafts haven't been great either.
This kid made world series after we upgraded his team. Now he wants to play me and I'm making "I'm busy" excuses.
Haven’t seen anything other than the map or that the final showdown boss is Randy but the moments are way nerfed AND you can earn points just by getting PXP in any mode, ie play long enough, you unlock everything. Aroldis is a must unlock, Wood is pretty good, Cano looks good (but is blocked for me by Roberts) and Donaldson is fine (but also blocked by Riley and hopefully soon Brett)
Moments: Win 3 inning game over god squad on Hall of Fame. Start down 2 runs. 8 HRs in 8 games with Griffey on AS 10 TBs with Delgado in 1 game on AS Come back from down 6 in the 9th on AS Hit 3 HRs without making an out on Vet Pitch 2 perfect innings with Pujols on Vet then hit a HR in next game with him Come back from down 4 against Edwin Dias on AS 10 Ks on AS with Chapman over 5 games without allowing a hit or run. Can allow 1 walk Hit 2 HRs with Ohtani and then get 13 Ks in the 2nd game on Vet 20 Ks with Wood on Vet. Can allow 1 run
I’ll do the conquest to get 25 stars, which is past Wood. Then I’ll work Wood to parallel V, which means 30 more. Then just need 5 for Chapman
For context MLB 20 extreme moments included: Hit 3 home runs in 1 game with Yelich on HOF Hit 4 XBH in 1 game with Gehrig on HOF Come back down 2 against 99 Mo Rivera on Legend Beat god squad on Legend
