Anthony Scaramucci 'texted "I’ll pray for our child" to his wife after missing birth of their son' 'There was discussion between him, her and the divorce attorneys about Anthony going to the hospital and unfortunately…the delivery was sudden'
Can’t wait to see a new generation of comics drag this fucking mouth breather for the native he is, as opposed to say kissing his ass to get on his show.
GFA only orders the lips, dicks, and assholes. Yet never cooks them. Hoping he's feeding a dog or something
I was just up in July and tried moose for the first time (last year's hunt, obv). Fucking amazing. I had no clue.
this shit, especially in a state as big as CA, is far more important than all but like 1% of shit we talk about here politically
That's awesome, and I totally understand the implications! But you should probably dumb it down for the people who haven't been following this.
parking minimums has been one of the biggest tools for nimbys across the us to prevent increased density and development, playing a huge role in housing being unaffordable. requiring a parking spot (or more) per bedroom in a building has been normative in many parts of the country and adds enormous REQUIRED expense even if its unnecessary removing this will cause more housing, more density, and more affordable housing
Does that also include requirements for garage/subterranean parking or streets/parking lots? Just wondering bc I can also imagine cities without good public transportation also being difficult to commute for ppl. Although that also likely suggests awful traffic and a bad commute, too
Yes, this CA law is only abolishing the minimums within half mile of transit spots so the developers can make educated guesses about how much parking is needed vs having tons of unused spaces at high $/per sq ft. It's a two handed thing, gotta improve transit while making the cities pedestrian friendly again (or continue it in the rare places where it's already feasible)
Getting rid of parking requirements will hopefully lead people to stop relying on cars and focus more on public transportation. There is also a love to ban new car sales of gas powered vehicles by 2025 maybe 2030. It’s a good thing.
due to minneapolis being on the front edge of progressive housing reforms the two parking spots I own are probably better investments than my condo which is crazy!
none of this BANS developers from dedicating space to parking, it just makes them not have to include it at high expense that largely makes some developments unfeasible even if the parking is unnecessary
There is a phase in but yeah 2035 https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2022-08-26/california-gas-car-ban-zero-emission?_amp=true
it's def a good thing then but a place like LA has strict high rise zoning laws which will still be an issue so I wonder if other big cities in Cali have the same thing
That article states that 1 in 6 vehicles sold in CA is zero-emission. That's wild we've bought two this year
I know a former cop who is a full blown Q-tard. Absolutely insane. Repeats the same mindless absurd shit and is completely bought in. So I'm around all the guys bullshitting mostly older 40-50s. And he's spouting off. So to make a long story short, I start fucking with him. And he immediately starts saying "oh, wait CNN, RIGHT!?" LOLL LOLOLOL "NO PAULIE, I DIDNT LEARN THAT JFK JR IS REALLY REALLY INCREDIBLY DEAD AND HE WASNT IN HIDING FROM THE MURDEROUS CLINTON CRIME FAMILY... FROM....CNN. IT'S JUST COMMON FUCKING KNOWLEDGE"
They are a challenge in San Diego as well though we have been successful voting those down recently given how severe the housing shortage is here. I hope this continues to be a trend. If nothing else, it's another good start.
No. Jackson’s infrastructure is crumbling. The politics in Jackson is full of kick backs and bribes. If someone wins major their buddies are getting paid. Like garbage. There’s current issue with garbage pick up in Jackson. The major wanted his friends but the alderman voted for another company. Now. No one is picking up garbage. It’s just wild the corruption there. and the flooding never got as bad as expected. But the water treatment plant messed up. The entire city infrastructure is a damn mess.
The Jackson water crisis is a perfect example of why it’s so infuriating when people cast off Red States as “getting what they deserve.” The vast majority of the people getting fucked are marginalized people. Suburban chuds are fine; that’s the whole design.
How much of this is self-inflicted at the city level vs. the state refusing to do anything good because republicans
Is Mississippi just universally corrupt? I work or worked for a bunch of northern companies with facilities in Olive Branch or places near there, boy do these companies regret investing in those areas. One company exec told me they had to pay a $250K bribe just to get their racking approved in a warehouse by the fire marshall and that wasn't the only bribe they had to pay. (I've never been to Miss for the record so its all hearsay)
