Not relevant but your 500 comment reminded me of my buddy who is a rangers fan texting me about Barkov to NYR literally seconds before he signed with Florida. The hunt for another center has been a long one. Trocheck will fit great. For now.
It starts all over again once Chytil’s contract ends and the Rangers can’t fit him in. His days in NY are likely numbered with the Trocheck move. Only a matter of time now. Granted, easier to find a 3C, but still. The organization is allergic to centers.
Not unless the cap goes up about $15M. We have another top 3 goaltender we need to give an inordinate amount of money to.
Brad Lambert a healthy scratch for Finland in the semis. I remember talk of him being a top 3-5 pick.
This is just embarrassing at this point. There needs to be replay to get the calls right if this is the quality of refs they want to roll with. Would take 10 seconds to correct these things.
Fun listen for a habs fan and I will share in case you guys are curious and are in need of nhl content
I’ll never not laugh at how he tweets and takes these videos. I’d be crushed to find out it was a bit #billsmafia
I mean they clearly are a bit at this point. The videos are all pre-recorded. Also. 7x7.14 is a big swing by buffalo for a guy with one good year under his belt at age 24. But they got to pay someone.
It is a risk. But it also has the chance to turn into an amazing contract for buffalo. Nothing what I saw out of Tage last year seemed particularly flukey. also, lol at “outside of his shot.” He isn’t a creator, that’s fine. He has an extremely lethal shot. Sometimes people get paid to score.
the thing is guys who can shoot are a dime a dozen. The question is whether Thompson is one of the handful of guys with a truly elite shot that he can score from distance like Ovi has done for 15+ years. If he is, its a great deal. If he's not, it's jeff skinner 2.0.
I’m talking about ovi now. The guy who is a walking elite shot but AHL level with the rest of his game. So far, that’s the ceiling for Thompson because he’s shown nothing other than an amazing shot. He doesn’t create, he doesn’t retrieve pucks, and he doesn’t play defense. He’s a shot and a shot alone so far.
Minimal at most regression on his shot and he finds a way to round out his game. He does that and it’s an amazing deal. He doesn’t and it all falls to how good his shot is to see if it’s an overpay or an albatross.
He continues to pot 30+ goals a year and he develops into an even better offensive player due to his age.
But the analytics say…! Use your eyeballs when talking about one of the best forwards of all time, you dope
2022 Ovi is an all around hockey player? Is this fucking real life? What does 2022 Ovi do at a high level other than shoot the puck?
Ovi floated for a while even in the years before Trotz. It's incredibly impressive that he's still as productive as he is at his age, but he definitely doesn't do much but score any more. That's not really even controversial at this point
Pretty sure more goes into scoring than just having an elite shot but I don’t feel like arguing with hockey dbl. Most his offense was 5 on 5 too, PP sucked
Disagree. This is a solid as fuck jersey. The current ones are better, but these are good in their own right.
