Nervous I end up like the poster who's nuts turned black. Looking forward to recovering in a hotel room without my child for the weekend. When did everyone return to normal working out/exercise? I've read a bunch of various stuff. Like week 1 is nothing. I've seen something that week 2 you can do things like dog walk and light weights, but other say wait 3 weeks. I'm hoping I can walk the dog week 2, then week 3 start back lifting/cycling
Oh. I haven’t had sex in years. But I never had a vasectomy. Just letting you know I’m thinking about you. Will you post pics if your nuts turn black? Thanks
Idk... I honestly think they overbooked and made an excuse. I waited 90 minutes past my appointment time in the lobby, then threatened to just leave. They then took me back and I waited another 30 minutes and then suddenly said there was a problem the doctor had to attend to and we would have to reschedule, when I left I was the last person in there. No biggie I guess, it's rescheduled for the 20th
Even full workouts? I've read you're pain free by then. But there are risks of doing strenuous activities can build up pressure in your scrot and lead to potential issues
I have a buddy that started working out too soon afterwards because he was pain free and wound up developing little cysts near the suture line. They flare up from time to time and hurt like hell.
No. I had it done 2 months ago. First few days do the absolute minimum amount of activity. You probably can do more, but there is no point. By day 3-5 I started walking more, and by 7-10 days you could probably resume modified stuff to see how it goes with a jock for support. There is literally zero upside to rushing into things too quickly.
At that point I had a 8 year old, an almost 2 year old & a newborn, I had no time for workouts. But I did get back to completely normal routine of work and lugging kids around everywhere
Yeah, not trying to rush it. I'm doing a stay-cation with my wife Fri-Sunday. Mom is leaving Monday, so shouldn't have to lift the kid too much in the first 96 hours. Taking it easy the first week. I hope to be able to do some easy do walks day 8 or so. I don't wear boxers and most underwear is tight and supportive
Yeah, first few days I was pretty sore if I moved much. Not debilitating or anything but you don’t feel like doing much. Iced a lot. Took it easy. When I moved it felt like I got kicked in the nuts like 15 mins ago. Feeling lasted the first few days. Had it done Friday and was back to work Wednesday but iced when I could (I move around a lot throughout the day), and by the weekend I felt pretty much back to normal but I wasn’t testing it much. I wore extra support for about 2 weeks I believe. I think the exact DC instructions were “no vigorous exercise or sex for 7 days.”
Apparently I was supposed to shave. Just gave my wife a solid show on the table as I shaved my entire region
Does the pain set in over time? I'm 18 hours out and feel like 90% fine. Slight swollen. No real pain walking up and down stairs.
It didn't with me. Pretty linear decline in pain from day of until my dog jumped up on me and hit me in the nuts on day 3
Get your counter app ready. My guy told me 30x in 8 weeks. That's going to be work as a 40 year old with a busy job. 13 year old me would knock that out in 2 weeks
So one thing that has been annoying has been the tenderness. I never really got sore, but I'm definitely overly tender. Like every time I sit down it feels like I'm sitting directly on my nuts. They swing and it my leg and it hurts.
I think it was more or less a prerequisite to get it done by the NHS. I may have been vague about whether my kid was also my wife’s kid.
Give me a boring summers week at 13 and Im BUSTING that out in like 4 days. Also got my date set for November 14th.
From what I understand, if you’re getting it done for free from the government, they don’t want to pay for a very much elective procedure when you may want an equally elective and much more expensive procedure in a few years that also comes with substantially more risk. You can go with a private doctor if you don’t make the NHS screen.
Didn’t see this thread before now. I’m scheduled for the 30th and dreading it, but reading the last few pages has me less nervous. not going to search for the story about the poster whose balls turned black.
