The only thing that matters this season is Ebitke and London being good. If they are good regardless of record the season is probably a success. If we find an OL, QB, etc then it’s a freaking dream.
Falcons struggling to contain a guy who literally will not throw the ball when he lines up at QB, we're right back to normal baby!
First game in a while without Jalen Mayfield on the OL and there's nice holes everywhere for people to run through.
Warms my Georgia Southern heart, him and Tyler Bass on NFL teams. It's crazy how Koo got cut after a bit of a shaky start with the Chargers, was successfully able to use that one season in AAF to get himself back to the NFL, and he's been rock solid since.
See your first point, that's it. Actually I'd like to see the team look competitive even if there's no chance of making the playoffs and that does hurt your draft position, we've been shit for so long that sucking another year isn't going to make instill the confidence they'll suddenly turn it around next season.
As someone who watches every Falcons game, I would like that too. I just feel like y’all are stuck in bad but not quite bad enough purgatory. Doesn’t help that the division is trash, either.
Like if we go .500 or something with a football team made up of discount signings then Arthur Smith is the real deal and we have boatloads of cap space to get way better. I would be happy with that outcome
Eh, that has been the case for the past several years but we'll see this year. If Mayfield gets the Panthers to not suck, it could be an interesting division this year, Brady will probably be Brady.
Falcons have been so bad at edge rushers I’d honestly just keep trying there in the draft because that could become an albatross contract real quick. Definitely need an underneath/slot guy to pair with London and Pitts.
Will Anderson would be nice but we aren't going to be bad enough to get him and no one else is screaming a must. Young and Stroud aren't looking like franchise QB's.
This team is going to be competitive as fuck, why wouldn’t we be rooting to win in week 1? That’s a miserable mindset. Also we have a zillion dollars to spend next year, and there are like 5 good qbs in next years draft… our future is fine even if we barely miss the playoffs
Maybe it's because I had to suffer through a Gus offense on Friday, but I'm starting to think Arthur Smith knows what he is doing.
