I think Corch Ryan should go look into Mr. Ferrari to see if he is someone we would like to add to our roster.

He tried to pass a car in a non passing zone and hit a car head on or something like that. He’s lucky he didn’t kill a few people.

On the plus side, he'll fit right in with Vince McMahon and the tradition of using women and trying to hush/money his way out. Which seems like all he's really wanted

Correction he tried to pass three cars in a non passing zone going up a hill and very easily could have been killed and killed the passengers in the other car. Well beyond reckless, it was stupid and homicidal

So not only did he rape a girl, but he was also supposed to shoot up a teammate’s house and then torture him for boning his sister? Is this a family affair?

Brackets for Day 1 of Men's freestyle are out.

At 70kg, the biggest news here is that Amir Yazdani drew Josh Finesilver, representing Israel, in the first round. As we have seen in the past, the Iranian wrestling foundation is under strict orders to not wrestle Israel because Iran does not recognize Israel's right to exist. Lil Yaz, the presumptive favorite at the weight, will be forced to forfeit. Retherford got pretty close to the god draw on the bottom half. He is strong threat to win gold or at the very least, wrestle for a medal, but faces a threat in QF against Andreasyan and will have a tough out in the semis as well.

Burroughs at 79kg also got about as good of a draw as he could. He shouldn't be tested until the semis, and the most dangerous threats were all drawn into the opposite side of the bracket.

At 86kg we're likely looking at HYC-Magicman in the finals again, but taylor will have at least a test in the semis against the dauletbekov-torreblanca/Myles Amine winner.

Hayden Zillmer got "lucky" at 125kg as well, being drawn into the Geno bracket rather than the Zare + Akgul bracket. He is now a threat for bronze if he can get past guys like Baran of Poland and Rakhimov of UZB. He gets Geno in his QF match after tkm and poland.

We knew Gilman and Ravi Kumar were on opposite ends as the 1 and 2 seeds, but the biggest unseeded threats--abdullaev and abakarov--were drawn into Kumar's bracket. think we see Gilman in the finals but he has some guys to beat in the QF and semis that can upset him.

    97kg
Snyder gets baranowski in his first match which should be a win, but the next two will be difficult matchups in M Magomedov, former Russian Jr world champ who transferred to AZE, and Mohammad Mohammadian of Iran, who notably pinned Snyder at the Pellicone a few years back. this semis match likely determines the world champion with no tanks awaiting in the finals, but Matcharashvili, tsakulov, and Baitsaev are the big names there.

for some reason Gilman just seems to be so solid now I can't see anyone upsetting him before the finals (famous last words). I'm sure Zain knows very well that this is his shot to finally do it. Too many times he's gotten a difficult draw and lost a close one early.

    61 kg:
Not gonna lie, Gross has a tough, tough road here. He'd need a run like Stieber's non-olympic gold.

Dhelep of Ukraine first round, Grigorev of poland next, choke artist Atli of turkey in the QF, then Harutunyan/Higuchi or maybe even dudaev in the semis.

All the threats were pulled into that side of the bracket. Atri of IRI is the favorite on the bottom half.

    65kg
Good: Yianni avoids the Musukaev/Aliyev half of the bracket, those guys are probably the two biggest threats at the weight.
Bad: Yianni gets Tevanyan in his first match.

Yianni lost to him pretty convincingly at world's last year. But he should be prepared.
If he makes it past that one, he'll get Germany or more likely Bulgarian Dubov next. that should be a W.
After that it gets dicey--a Bajrang rematch if he can get past Valdes Tobier. I think that is winnable either way.
But the semis match would be much easier if he gets there--Sebastian Rivera of NW/Rutgers, now wrestling for PR, or MGL Tseveensuren awaits.
Finals certainy Musukaev/Aliyev are the favorites, but both face potential landmines in Amouzad of IRI and Lomtadze of GEO respectively.

All had pretty great draws(Zain especially) but there’s nobody in the world, this version with no Russian flags allowed, that could have stopped JB at 79 or DT at 86 before Yazdani.

DT vs Yaz tomorrow a little after 12pm eastern, round 5 in what may honestly be the best rivalry in the history of this sport. No signs of anybody slowing these two down between now and 2024.

I mean, I can explain why… it’s just not in the rule book. This is clearly wrong and should be a takedown but it’s either shitty or slightly corrupt officiating

Haven't been able to watch at all today because of work, but i'm certain it's because JB shoved him with two extended arms, which is by rule no points.

Ironically if that guy had stayed in bounds, it probably would have been called 2.

I always think about the time Bekzod teched JB in Rio.

JB has lost 15 times in his career, but only 3 of those losses were by more than one point.

He got teched by Abdurakhmanov 11-1 in 2016

The other two losses were to 3x world champions.

3-0 to Dake at olympic team trials in 2020.
9-2 to Tsargush on a bad knee at 2014 worlds.

Now he's on the verge of becoming the 8th 7-timer in wrestling history.

Jordan Burroughs turned American wrestling around completely.

In 8 world/olympic championships from 2007-2014, we won a total of 1 gold and 5 bronzes not counting Jordan Burroughs'.

Now we win 6-7 medals every year.
