AEW / WWE thread - Real Fighting about Fake Fighting

Cena's next world title would result in him topping Flair. I think from a money making, eye ball generating stand point WWE would be better off not pairing that with the potential end of this amazing run by Roman. If not for that I think Cena makes a ton of sense. Old school mentality is you have to beat Roman with someone on par or better. Very few names are on that list... WWE may have time to build some guys till Mania but honestly the list is short.

 

I would say that the guys on the roster right now that could be built up by Mania and make sense are... Bray (depending on what gimmick he returns as), Rollins, KO, Cody and Lashley.

Part time talent: Cena, Brock, Rock.

With Cena and Rock they would likely have to commit to some dates till Summer Slam where they could drop the title and go back to Hollywood

 

From someone who watches very little with my son, but follows this thread. I always struggle watching knowing the result and knowing Roman can’t drop to whoever. In comparison you have MMA and NCAA wrestling and anyone can drop at any time which keeps you tuning in. Is there any merit to having more title changes and randomness?

Just let him be a character, keep him protected by keeping him out of title politics

 

He's a hard character to book because the modern audience wants to see Michael Myers kill more than they want to see him get killed. His character only really "works" if he's damn near invincible.

 

I enjoyed the hot potato era of the attitude era with the title. You have a lot of top guys they should be able to beat each other... they are all elite right?

I understand the long run that Vince started and now HHH has to find a conclusion to. If I had my choice this would be a rare occurrence and not something I would like the next guy to repeat.

No sir... He was part of Brian Campbells state of combat podcast when they would break down wrestling. Brian went away from wrestling coverage and this dude split off on his own. I listen to his show recap pods to keep up to date with WWE and AEW.

Thanks. Like I said though, I’ve never heard of the guy or interacted with him. The only two wrestling people I knew of that banned me were Dave LaGreca, because I gave him hell for choosing Bully Ray over Larry Dallas. And JBL because I supported Mauro when JBL was being a fucking bully. Maybe he took offense to one of those two Twitter threads. Who knows.

They attempted to hot shot him... by they I mean Vince. Once HHH took over it seems like they told him to join his brother in NXT for training. His brother is pretty good and on TV weekly. Gable is probably the type who wont go on NXT TV once they deem him ready he will go on RAW or Smackdown.
