Shana Tova. May everyone in the bourbon thread be written into the book of life. Except for those that drink Legent, they are wicked and are destined to be damned.
I'm not sure what the going rate is on a Willet purple top aged 7 years but they have some at Fondren Cellars in Jackson MS for $325.
It's a 3 hr drive for me. Was seeing if that price was pretty solid, and if so then might be worth finding a mule in Jackson and reaching out to some buddies I have there.
I know some of you guys have trouble finding Eagle Rare if anyone needs any let me know local store just got a good bit in. $43 plus tax
Still haven' t had Carabou Crossing if anyone can get that I'd take a bottle. Isn't it supposed to be similar to Blanton's?
Same with RHF-seems like secondary has it for $300 and it's basically a similar profile as Blantons. I guess that's why it's a shelf turd for tators?
I'd buy a Stagg Jr off someone for not outrageous price. Looks like it's about $250 on secondary depending on batch. Still have not had it.
I have one more Caribou crossing after I ship infected donkey his. I'm not opposed to parting with it.
tjsblue theregionsitter and anyone else in Ohio This week is 4R barrel proof https://www.ohlq.com/ohlq-hub/news-...ive/four-roses-private-select-barrel-strength
In your experience have liquor stores been dropping these barrel picks on the same day with their allocations or just randomly?
Sorry first 2 places were a bust. Will for sure be trying a place Saturday morning with my wife so fingers crossed for at least 2 bottles
Its not true bourbon hunting unless you spend 10 hours driving around and only get an EHT small batch to show for it
Atlantans: $120 with any of their store picks (I got their 9y ECBP 129.0) AND a handle of $25 potato vodka. Side note: WTS handle of potato vodka
Outside of TW, the only place near me that I've found that does store picks has astronomical pricing on most everything. Not quite secondary but definitely way over MSRP. It's frustrating to say the least.
I’m this case, I don’t mind the markup too much. I don’t mind being forced to buy a store pick (huge selection and their picks are decent to great.) The rub is buying a $25 handle of well vodka that I’ll never drink. Think I’d have been happier being asked to buy two store picks
Chateau on Polaris and Northwest Wine & Spirits on Bethel were the misses. Same for Kroger on 33/161 in Dublin. This morning going to hit Ale’s on Sawmill near Home Rd when they open. Think today may be delivery day for Perimeter Giant Eagle in Dublin but that’s further away for me to take a quick break at work. Saturday is Chateau on Sawmill
