nope. If we end up going to Vegas and don’t go to the pitch, we get charged regular room rates plus resort fees for entire trip.
Thinking of perhaps doing Vegas in mid-September. Would love to do Circa Swim on a Saturday. What's the best way to go about that? Would most likely just be with the GF at that time. Lounge chair? General admission for a couple hours then leave?
If you are there early enough then you should be able to secure lounge chairs in a decent spot. If you don’t want to worry about it though then you can get a daybed.
I see on their website they have lounge chairs with a $200 min spend. I guess you can buy those ahead of time to guarantee a spot as opposed to getting there early and hoping to snag one?
Yes. In the scheme of vegas… food and drink at stadium swim isn’t horribly priced so you guys will have a good day if you just want to guarantee your spot. The food is also better than it needs to be for that type of venue (in my opinion)
Anyone ever done this? I've been curious for a while and I'm going out there without the wife in a few weeks. What she doesn't know won't hurt her. https://www.skycombatace.com/
Doing a couples trip (8 of us) in October and staying at MGM. Want a cabana with a tv on saturday for football and sports gambling purposes. There are like 8 different regions in the MGM pool to get a cabana and I'm unsure where to pull the trigger. We don't want to be in a loud ass day club area but want good scenery and have an open budget. Any recommendations for a certain part of their pool or somewhere nearby thats worth leaving our hotel for the day?
Dip out of that couples trip ASAP. Go by yourselves. But to answer the question, probably private reserve unless you want to people watch the lazy river, then west river
Will be going on my first non-bachelor party Vegas trip in November. Arriving at 8AM Saturday morning. Used a free Hyatt night to stay at Park MGM that evening. The final three nights are at Cosmo. Paid by my company since I'm there for a convention. My questions: Best sportsbook to park at and watch CFB all day? Preferably near Park although if it's a destination type sportsbook I don't mind moving. Guess it'll be too cold for Stadium Swim. Good dinner with a great vibe for Saturday night? GF is tagging along. I've seen a lot of Cosmo food spots mentioned in the past 10 pages. Any bar recs afterwards? Sunday breakfast and lunch spot (perhaps Eataly since I'll be leaving Park for Cosmo that day?)
Saturday restaurant with vibe: Beauty and Essex at Cosmo. Bar after: Chandelier Bar at Cosmo.(Verbene cocktail on 2nd floor). For a quieter bar try Alibi or Salt & Ivy at Aria. For a beautiful bar try Carbone at Aria.
If you’re staying at park mgm make sure to get some of these sandwiches from eatily(I’m not looking up how to spell it). best book on strip is easily Caesars, leather lazy boys with a bar right behind it, massive tvs. I posted up there one day in May and kept walking the 7minutes or so to fill up my yard drink thing near the Nike store. I can’t emphasize this enough. Tj Taco birrieria 664 just behind the Wynn on the strip. good thing you’re at cosmo so you can get a slut in the morning.
Currently sitting in someone’s reserved seat. Whole row empty. Ordered an old fashioned and when waitress came out gave her $20 to pay for it and she must’ve assumed it was a tip because she never gave me any change. Either way I’m cool with this development
Thanks for the recs. Will definitely get a sandwich at eataly and probably a breakfast sandwich at eggslut. I live near the original 664 birrieria and have been lucky to go a few times.
DuffandMuff also I don’t know if it was just for the game I went too but they gave me a knights coin.
It’s lot of fun. Great sight lines. It’s a venue where there are always a lot of fans of the visiting team.
Gonna be in Vegas the next couple weekends, looking forward to some good Asian food, cheap weed, college sports and a hike or two
Information about Tillman Fertitta’s resort & casino that will be on the SE corner of LVB & Harmon. That’s across LVB from Aria, and across Harmon from The Miracle Mile Shops. It’s a great location. Demolition of the existing buildings will begin soon. It looks like the project is expected to be open in 2 years. https://www.reviewjournal.com/busin...molition-permits-for-strip-buildings-2664326/
Heading to Vegas on Friday. Going to be about 15,000 UND alum in town. Meeting up with about 8 friends from college. Friday Night--Freemont Street. Saturday Afternoon--Sports Book somewhere in the Afternoon. They are showing the UND Football game at Beerhaus so may stop there as well. Saturday Late Afternoon/Night--Pregame Party on Toshiba Plaza at T-Mobile Arena. UND vs. Arizona State Hockey game. Wing it after the game as I am sure we will run into multiple friends from College. Sunday--Sports Book for NFL and Knight/Jets game that night. Staying at MGM. trying to decide if we want to go to Circa or Westgate Sportsbook on Saturday/Sunday.
If you’ve never been to Beerhaus, know that the seats were not comfortable there for me. I don’t know that I could watch an entire football game there. The food is very good though for that style of venue.
Circa one day for sure. Hash house a go go for breakfast if you can work it in. Good base for a day of drinking. Love Hugo’s cellar in the basement of 4 queens for dinner Friday night if you’re on Freemont. Great time of year to be there. Lot of sports to watch/bet.
