User NineteenNine from the internet message board, the *dash* Mainboard, referred to Mr. Reed as a “cunt.” thus causing untold damage to Mr. Reed’s reputation.
My bad. I forgot to assume your bigoted comment wasn't quite as bigoted as JT's because yours was older. I guess I forgot about the statute of limitations that applies to those living in glass houses.
Decided to pull the trigger and send my application to join the country club nearby. Told a buddy I was joining and he’s already asking what he needs to do to play in the member guest. Ha.
Nah you want me to come down instead. You’ll be amazed when the three clubs I use the most are putter, 8 iron and six iron.
Application accepted and I’m now a member of Southern Hills. Anyone ever in the Tampa area and wants to play hit me up.
Random question. Gonna be in Clearwater area for a wedding next weekend. Any decent public courses in that area that you know of? My google searching hasn’t produced much. Can you play Innisbrook without staying there? Other options?
I don’t think you can play innisbrook without staying or with a member. As for courses I don’t know much in that area as I’m on the other side of Tampa. I would probably get on GolfNow to see what’s available where you’re staying. How far a drive away would be your max?
At first I was like “damn that’s a fast acceptance to Southern Hills”. Then I saw Tampa. Very crafty.
I hate this game. Took off at lunch today and played a quick 18. 52/41. Finished par, birdie, par, par. Had birdie puts my last 2 holes too. Biggest change from the front is I kept my driver in the bag. Got a new Ping G425 3 wood this week and I'm hitting that insanely well. I've already got a tee time booked for tomorrow at 7:30. Last 4 holes were something to build off of.
Trying to play Friday morning with a wedding Friday afternoon so probably can’t go out much more than 30-45 mins. Already mapped southern hills, probably too far!
Fox Hollow is down the street from me. If it’s not to far a drive and you can get an early tee time I would go there. It’s where I play a good bit. They usually overbook and don’t spread the tee times far enough out so get as early as you can.
Dude. Landmand was unreal. Might end up being my favorite course in the country once it’s had few years to grown in.
For sure they do not. Lax's on the other hand, really do. Peyton was there playing the day before. Would've been cool to be out on the course at the same time as him. The wind being 100% exposed on top of the bluffs was something else.
I’m glad you liked it. When we played Dakota dunes the guy in the shop said he’d seen some photos that weren’t flattering and alluded to maintenance being lacking. Loved Dakota dunes, the fairway and greens were very well taken care of. I’d go back anytime, but the group I was with kind of ruined it a little.
Not sure if its really maintenance lacking or the course being raw/new. Last winter was brutal for golf in our area. Randomly enough, ran into one the DD pros in the clubhouse at Landmand (he's also the coach at Morningside). It was his first round at Landmand which was surprising to me. Glad to hear you loved my old home course. Was pretty lucky to get to play there as a kid.
I thought she was gonna lose her approach on 18 down the bank on the left side. One more foot and probably makes bogey.
First round at the new club. Played terrible and shot 85. Greens were so hard to read. Brought my buddy that lives in the neighborhood. He said the course reminds him of his clubs in the Atlanta area. Not your typical Florida course with the terrain. So many hills and blind teed shots.
