Welp, been a great day of college football. Sucks there’s no night games this week. Pretty excited to watch Braves vs Mets tho.
I feel like I’ve seen the stretcher come out more this week than any other weekend I can remember. It might be the effect of seeing what happened to Tua and being more aware.
those same boosters might need to take a year or two off from paying recruits via NIL to get rid of the guy
That's the norm at this point. Any hot coaching prospect is going to demand an astronomical buyout and they're going to keep getting them as schools grow increasingly desperate. idk maybe the bubble bursts at somepoint.
I don’t see him as a pro prospect. Seems no reason to not come back versus potentially not being drafted.
Seems to be the best reason to get an up and comer. Unless you’ve actually shown championship success I rather take the risk. Thank God UF didn’t make that mistake with Mullen.
Even "up and comers" tend to have backbreaking buyouts for all but the wealthiest of schools. Then again, the b1g and SEC are about to be absolutely drowning in liquid cash while every other conference gets strangled so who knows.
If you’re a school with championship aspirations you find a way. If FSU had started poorly, the money would’ve been found to buy out Norvell.
We’ve been terrible ever since Tebow left. But I’m not making transition year excuses in year 5 of my coach.
Willie's buyout already pushed FSU to the brink. The seminole council had to personally drop the bags to get him out. Norvell was going nowhere. It's not going to make sense to have championship aspirations in a world where Bama, UGA and Aggie are hoarding all of the talent at astronomical prices.
