That’s my favorite thing about Mickey. Accountability is everything to him. QB makes bad reads so he benches him for a drive. Benhart doing bad so he’s benched.
And the presser. Mickey taking the blame for all the penalties. Someone needs to make a compilation of all the times frost blamed the players and then run mickeys.
Mickey sure had them ready to go when it looked like things were going sideways. Loved how he pulled trash players out too.
I think this is really important. Because frost would play Chuds from western Nebraska over athletes. The good players never got a chance to see the field so they’d just transfer.
Also, big part of my Benhart butthurt has to do with how much Lakeville, MN sucks. Just lives up to all the absolute worst white trumptardy suburban stereotypes there are
literally isn’t worth it. Pictures don’t do the scale and size of everything justice. It’s all about golf too. They have a food cart and a clubhouse that’s cool, but like 1500 square feet. The greens are fucking massive but the scale of everything is so large the greens don’t feel out of place because it would look impossible to hit the greens because the scope of the hills dwarfs everything. It’s golf on steroids but it works and it’s a perfect contrast to the sandhills while playing in the same sandbox.
Current Mpls-SP suburb power rankings, week 5: 1. Roseville 2. White Bear Lake 3. Stillwater 4. St. Louis Park 5. Robbinsdale Bottom 5: 1. Lakeville 2. Elk River 3. Maple Grove 4. Edina 5. C*on Rapids
Buddy and his family live in Apple Valley and it seems p nice. also have only met complete assholes who are from Edina
Yeah Apple Valley is definitely the cooler alternative to Lakeville. Plus MN Zoo which rules so much ass.
My bad head coach post of the day is I'm very cool if we give the job to MJ if we sustain this sorta vibe the rest of the year. We are going to suck ass forever no matter what but at least we could have a real cool guy in charge
the Minneapolis suburb rankings could be the most specific niche top/bottom 5 rankings of all tim ITT, and there's been a bunch of them folks.
Welp, watched some of the Husks’ game against Indiana last night and fucking hell that Nebraska defense looks way better than it did the first couple of weeks. I thought Rutgers might be able to make this one interesting, and maybe it still is, but if the Husk D plays the way it did in parts of that second half, we lose by 3 scores. Here all week for those traveling to the area needing food/entertainment suggestions.
The team is still very much a disaster because it looks like certain parts haven’t seen a single bit of coaching since they got here. But it’s night and day difference in terms of accountability. I think kids simply want a coach that shows they give a shit about them. A lot of times that means busting their ass in practice and loving them when that’s needed too. We thought that was Frost and IT WAS NOT AT ALL. People, kids, want to feel like they aren’t just another cog and Mickey gets this and it’s more apparent day-after-day that it was even worse than we thought (which was really bad).
I realize this is a funny joke, but I was in radio at one time and my LEAST FAVORITE THING in radio is listening to callers. It’s so damn cringeworthy that I’ll turn the station until they are done. Better chance I leave a bottle of bourbon with you in a locked room and it not being finished than a good call-in show.
Solich 58-19 75.2% Chryst 67-26 72.0% we want to be at least Wisconsin again and Wisconsin wants to be Nebraska.
For perspective if Frost was still at NU and won his next 50 consecutive games his winning % would only be 68.0%
It’ll be the same as last week. We’ll play our 6th year senior, tight end and slot wideout at wildcat. And the only guy that will throw a pass is a third year sophomore who doesn’t have the legs or arm to make a big play. If we score 17 I’d be surprised. We also just went through the meat grinder that is OSU, so yea, not looking too good.
One thing I know about Nebraska is that we love making awful QBs look like Heismans. So congrats on the 300+ passing yards.
