It has been brought to my attention that an upside down pineapple on your porch is a singers sign. We have purchased a pineapple we do not plan to eat.
everyone socialized into wanting their mcmansion castle in some car only burb is bad for humans, but good for expanding consumption culture. short primer on third spaces evaporating and how toxic it is, tons of research on this trend over the last 50 years. one of this boards greatest minds wants mandated bowling leagues as a remedy.
we doing the "you participate in society meme" smh but yes consumption culture is overall bad, also yes aspects of it can be fun. buying both utility and art pieces is about as low on the totem pole of bad I can think of next to maybe experiential. is it better to buy machine stamped knives from mega factories that are much lesser quality or go to a craftsman and buy one off their shelf for a little more while the money goes directly to them? wasn't custom made for me either.
I was looking to get a solo stove but my buddy has been sold on this. It’s in my cart but I haven’t purchased yet. TIKI Brand 25 Inch Stainless Steel Smokeless Fire Pit - Includes Wood Pack and Cloth Cover https://a.co/d/fzLelfL
One of my good friends works at solo stove. No discounts but they do offer college logos laser etched onto them if that fancies you
I waffled a lot but I decided on Breeo X series and it's been great. Same idea as the solo stove (smokeless due to double ignition) but it's much more solid and made in the US. For some models you can buy cooking attachments too.
Spent the weekend re-doing our deck railing at our house on the Oregon Coast. Now we just need to crimp and run our cable rail and we are donezo.
Just roof vents. Need a bunch a vents for moisture control, houses like to mold over here. Climate is generally between 50-70 degrees and we get a ton of moisture. Those trees in the second picture are a protected temperate rainforest.
Fuck you and I hate you. Can I come visit and have beers and food with you to mend our bad blood? Please say yes!
Most of the winter it's just consistently drizzly. Once every decade or so it snows. Sometimes you get some awesome storms that are super fun to watch. Don't do what this dude is doing in the photo, you fall in the water you're dead.
