Fun opening night. Ivey and Duren are fantastic draft picks, completely change the dynamic of this team. Picking up Bojan for Kelly and Lee was a steal. Perfect 3 point fit for this young team and also brings that "YMCA old man" experience. Also, big shout-out to Stewart tonight. He hit the corner 3 we needed at the end which he probably shot 1000+ times in the off-season. As the old saying goes "when preparation meets opportunity, good things happen".
The Magic aren't good, but that's a bad match up for Cade against all that length and athleticism. Was interesting that Ivey was playing PG so much with both on the floor in the first half. Fun win. Our rebounding is going to be awful and Cade needs to get at least 7-8 a game for us to even be mediocre at it. Our front line is tiny and unathletic when Duren isn't out there (and Duren's not a good rebounded yet, either).
No one hated young Drummond. Year 4 and beyond Drummond who just wanted to shoot awful jump hooks while making max $$ and not trying on defense not so much. I'm disappointed no one talked Duren out of wearing 0, though.
I knew and have been posting ITT about how bad this team on paper looked on defense, but man it's even worse than I expected. Embarrassing
What's your bone to pick with Cade? You find a reason to call him out every game. Could potentially get a triple double in a blowout where everyone is playing bad and you are calling him out for shooting 5-14 when we have guys shooting worse than him all over the court
he was the 1st pick in the draft. Needs to be more efficient, for this team to reach the next level. 13 points on 14 shots is garbage.
Diallo is a guy you keep on the roster to entertain the crowd, but don't actually play in competitive games.

He’s not a good shooter. I think that’s enough and a good bone to pick. I also think he needs to be more aggressive earlier in games. I don’t think he’s a bust though, and think the potential is there to for him to be a top 5-10 player in the league
It's the 2nd game of the year, of his 2nd NBA season. He shot 39% pre all star break last year to come back and shoot 45% post all star break and average 20+ and contributing a ton in other areas of the court. Hes hardly the first big time pick to have ups and downs shooting early in his career. Give the kid some time

He was a plus minus zero in a game we got blown out. If you watch the game and don't just look at box scores you can see how much he effects games and that he is the least of our problems. If his shooting is still shit later in season maybe I'd care more, it's 2 games and hes shown he can shoot better. I put zero stock into preseason
