oh damn that sucks Eric The Viking they had a rematch of sorts with cornell this afternoon, i'm guessing that's where it happened?
Spoiler Happened 2 1/2 weeks ago at practice (really didn’t want to say anything in here, until the team released their statement). He wasn’t even doing anything out of the ordinary, just dodging. He sustained a pretty severe quad strain right after he scored the first Maryland goal in the National Championship game. He played the rest of the game with it, and exacerbated it. We trained all Summer and really took great care to let it heal. By the end of Summer, he was starting to look close to 100%, but not quite. When he returned to Maryland, he went back to full speed, but in hindsight, should have eased back into it. The injury sounds worse than it is. He will have surgery in about a week. He will obviously miss this season, which just absolutely is mentally wrecking him (never had a major injury before), but he should be close to 100% again by the midpoint of next Summer. I’ve known and trained him since he was 6, so he’s like family to me. Since we share the same name, he has always been Little E and I’m Big E. Shit is rough, but keeping spirits high for him, to give him support.
Yes. I was posting their Instagram because they’re pretty active on there. Not quite like Cock Hockey though. Their social media looks produced by ESPN Cliffs: Yes we’re good in sports except the ones you care about.
Title IX essentially. Schools ultimately make decisions about how they want to allot their scholarships. The crazy thing to me is SEC doesn’t have men’s soccer. Us and Kentucky compete in conference USA. The rest don’t have a team. But everyone has women’s soccer. Bama and UGA have gymnastics
About time. Nothing sillier than holding kids back for youth sports purposes… I realize this doesn’t impact HS but it should curtail the practice at youth levels and then filter up to HS.
traveling today so won’t be able to watch any of the games but excited to be back. ND has their first game the day I get back from vacation, so that’s fun
I know it’s commonplace but Joey Spallina playing his true freshman season as a 19.5 year old is kinda lame.
First game with the new offensive coordinator. And now lost the best player in the country in back to back seasons. Might take some time to get going
If this wasn’t the lax thread, I’d say this had to be a fake name. Add it stands, I’m only 55% sure it’s a real birth name
I coach my son’s Rec squad & just got full roster DOB’s. We have several kids that will be 15 by end of season & he won’t turn 14 until after the season. Crazy to me that there are so many 15yr olds in 8th grade
went to the first ND game if the season. Don’t think Marquette is going to be very good this year, but still a nice 21-10 season opener. Hoping they can bounce back from last years rough start and get back into the tournament
Maryland outshooting Syracuse 17-5 in the 1st quarter but only up 3-1. This Syracuse goalie is really doing work to keep them in the game
Georgetown going from preseason #1 to potentially losing 2 of their first 3… Hoping ND can get their revenge next weekend before Georgetown figures it out
