I deal more in the bleepy bloopy end of things, but two really good guitar driven albums I havent seen mentioned are launder and enumclaw
There needs to be a ban on that sort of naming convention. Just shouldn't be able to name a band Deely Stan or something
Dead Meadow was one of the first acts I gravitated to when trying to find hidden gems back in the day
Nothing worse in this thread than our TMB resident hater of black culture Cornelius Suttree trying to be funny
Sorry for posting tweets from indie bands in the indie music thread. And sorry for posts I made back when I didn't consider the impact of my words See ya
Chappell Roan - Casual. Album should be coming next year I'd think, she's dropped 3-4 singles this year.
Saw Avett Brothers last night at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, wow! So good. I bought these tix almost three years ago and the show got delayed due to covid. Venue is spectacular and they were even better than I expected. I've always wanted to see them and my wife almost made us back out last minute. Seth Avett did a Jim Croce cover of Operator that was so good.
I bought Arcade Fire tickets for a casino show in Connecticut like 6 months ago before the Butler issues came out and the show is tonight. I feel torn about going and supporting them having never seen them before, but I already had room reservations and a night planned with another couple, so I am going to go as much as I hate myself for doing it.
They do put on a great show and they seem to just be powering through it. As it stands, it’ll be my last (of four or five) shows I’ll see from them. He hasn’t done enough atoning but supporting Regine and the rest of the band is important to me.
yeah from the videos Ive seen they still bring it so probably worth checking out if you bought tickets even if he is an unapologetic creep.
They sounded good, but there was a feeling in the air and a heavy weight hanging over the place. The many empty seats in a half filled arena didn't help either. They only performed for about 1:20 or so also, so missing Beck was a huge deal.
