Auburn is undoubtedly a historically stronger program than Ole Miss. The resources are better now. That should go without saying. The point is that it’s a lot closer to Ole Miss and Arkansas than it is to Alabama and Georgia. That inferiority complex is why they *always* feel the need to punch down.

I am not sure of that. I am only sure of his interest + interviewing for other jobs while at Ole Miss. He very well could just enjoy going thru the job search process while having no interest in ever leaving Oxford.
In fairness, he’s a Sexton client, so “interest” is a big part of the process. I don’t know that there’s ever been confirmation of him interviewing for another job.

I don't see how Lane can look at the history of Auburn with coaches and think it's a smart idea to leave what he has for Auburn. Unless his dream in life is to sit at home and collect $40M+ from a school after they fire him one day. Which, now that I think about it, makes a lot more sense for him than I originally thought.
