Love subtitles in my old age, especially with a loud house. Have it set to auto pickup loot, but not health/rage, as I want control of when I pick those up. Don’t want puzzle clues, yet. Love that this game and Horizon has put so much depth into those options, tho.
I think you have to buy the cross gen version or whatever it's called. There might be an upgrade option but I'm not sure.
I googled it and looks like there’s an upgrade option. That’s still saying I can actually buy a PS5 though.
Played too much AC: Odyssey and got used to the square being the dodge button. Had to remap it for GOW:R

Played last night and the game opened up. Got bored with it a little. Think I might turn the difficulty down and power through the story. After about 3 trips to the shore it started to feel like I’ve already done that a million times (Which I probably have)
I’m liking it because I did ween myself off all games for awhile now just in anticipation for this game. I’ve got a lot of rust to shake off before I get to any higher level stuff.
So far I'm about...6ish hours in? the difficulty doesn't feel as punishing as 2018 and not as smooth. (I really don't like the hold triangle to charge frost/flame skill). Nothing felt like it was close to the encounter that was a fresh run in the Dragur Pit on GMGoW difficulty yet.
Has anyone figured out how to turn off the hints Atreus and Mimir give you? I barely get to look at a puzzle before they try and solve it for me.
I had to force myself to stop playing the last two nights so I could actually get sleep for work. And then of course I wake up at 3am this morning wanting to play it again. I love this game.
Dude go to Playstations website and register to buy one at retail price. Took maybe a month for me to get selected but from what I've been hearing the special editions like horizon west or whatever have been available through there pretty regularly. That's what I ended up with.
Man, I wished you would’ve texted me when I had posted all the horizon bundle PS5‘s at my local Walmart. I would’ve got you one and shipped it
So the payment processing locked up when I tried to just but a regular digital ps5 and I missed out. But they has horizon bundles just sitting there in stock so I just bought one of those. Was only like 50 bucks more. Not sure if they will do the horizon bundle again but I'm sure there will be others that you can snatch up.
I saw it on Amazon and registered for it. I want that game so it’s a good deal. Prolly play it after this and the new Harry Potter game if it’s worth half a damn.
The combat feels more forgiving than GOW 2018 but I still miss the button mashing style from the OG games.

They could really expand some of the story parts of the first into actually levels too. Kratos and his army’s defeat by the Barbarians. Him slaughtering the village and his family.
40 hours of gameplay in and just got the 3rd weapon. basically been doing only exploration trying to 100% all the map portions I can.
Am I on crack or was there an item/feature in GOW 2018 that would point out missing items on the map for trying to 100% a region?
I find vanaheim to be super distracting with all the tree shadows everywhere. Feels like everything is just dark green or green.
Aussie To find that option, you'll want to head to options, gameplay, and then select puzzle timing. Select Extended + and you'll get more time to figure out the mysteries of the realms.
