Placed an order for this year's BCBS and the Biscotti version. Wouldn't wait in a line for it but Total Wine made it super easy.
A pal flew out to Massachusetts with a friend and rented a van to drive back home full of Beer. So I had Tree House Julius and Jjjjjjulius on Thursday night
idk if this is a byproduct of them making way more of the beer or me living in gentrified north chicago, but this is the shelf at my local whole foods the other day. happy to send some bottles if anyone is interested
I think it’s also not priced very competitively for the product. As discussed in here not long ago, you don’t have to be a huge brewery to barrel age stouts anymore. It’s not the novelty it was a decade ago. I think it’s still good, I picked up the regular and biscotti this year, but at $25/bottle I’m not going to try all of them compared to what else I can get at that price point.
Central waters is the best brewery for barrel aged value. You can probably get a 4 pack for $25 and their barrel aged beers slay
Not sure if they distribute to AZ. I’ll have to check. Heard the name before but I don’t think I’ve ever had anything from them.
totally makes sense. the coffee was good and i’m excited to try another prop but i personally won’t be buying any more this year. and the sticker price is definitely part of it
Couldn’t agree more on the Bourbon County Stouts. Lotta quality barrel aged stouts out there at a much more reasonable cost. I say every year I’m not going to buy them anymore yet I just can’t help myself.
At this point I find the variants far more interesting than the standard. Buster 5000 can you get Bent Paddle where you live? Based on that collection you should get this (or the non barrel aged which is also delicious).
