Finally got around to watching Morbius, and I have to be honest…it’s terrible. Just truly terrible. Just pure, utter garbage. I thought “Hey, there’s no way it can be as bad as people on here said.” Boy was I wrong.
Literally the only dream I’ve ever had is someone coming up to me and saying “Dirt, your bulge is too bulgy, we have to use science to make it appear smaller for the good of the human race.”
There’s not any big spoilers in the Holiday Special but the mini spoilers that are there are… Spoiler Guardians run Knowhere New ship is called Bowie Groot is a young adult Mantis can actually fight Mantis and Quill are half siblings
Mantis’ weird hanging off the walls chase of Bacon weirded me out. Really want to know how G3 goes. We know it is “Rockets movie”. But the Knowhere repair, Pete-Mantis siblings, ravenger revenge, Adam Warlock, there seems to be a lot of plot points and we haven’t even mentioned the High Evolutionary. Hope it’s not too busy.
I’m guessing Gunn heard/read what is Mantis going to do in that Endgame scene, and was like she can actually fight.
Def cracked up at Nebulas attempted syncopated rythmatic motions. Groot still the best dancer by far.
In his defense he only had like 5 minutes to write and teach it to a bunch of aliens before they debuted it
Im telling ya, if this whole MCU thing ends without Cosmo and Lucky finding each other and falling in love I’m coming for Mr Fiege’s throat.
As far as the gifts go I nailed Buckys Arm and the Game Boy, was for sure Drax’s would be a big box of Zarg-Nuts, had no idea what Groot was giving but his were the best.
4th time watching and 3rd time Nebulas “I guess all actors aren’t pieces of Shit” line made me laugh till I cried. When we watched with the whole family Friday night my kid (8 yr old and youngest in the family) heard that and laughed saying “Bacon’s not a piece of shit but my Uncle Jim is still a piece of shit!!!” The whole room erupted into laughter.
Saw that some point over the last week that twitter was kind of blowing up about Rihanna’s song from the credits. Has people in their feelings. I didn’t realize this is her first single in 6 years and Coogler said she was clear this wouldn’t be happening if not a tribute for Boseman.
The entire thing was about dealing with grief and Shuri finally figured that out at the end. Not to mention they already did the opening Marvel credits in silence. Ending in silence would have made zero sense.
Maybe the wavering vocal quality speaks to some extra emotion. But it was poorly sung and I’m not alone in this opinion. I’m sorry, folks. Loved the rest of the movie. Rihanna isn’t a singer.
I apologize for offending the Rihanna thread. That’s enough of a tangent though, please pick up with the Marvel discussion as though I had said nothing.
