Every time I read a terrible way to die post, I think of an obscure case I read a long time ago, Mitchell v. New York Life Insurance Co., 27 N.E.2d 243 (Ohio 1940). A man died from a ruptured colon and intestine, which occurred when he used a product described as a self-administered enema. The product was a rubber tube that you hooked to a faucet. He hooked it to the bathtub and the water pressure was too high.
I’m looking forward to having kids. Then I see things like this, and I go back to being cool with waiting again.
my 1 notification per year. even though I’ve barely posted in several years, can always count on Pearl to keep my memory alive. Cheers bro
I don’t care about celebrities but I do find learning about the experiences other have on here fascinating. I grew up way different than most here and I sometimes share those experiences to give people a different perspective. I don’t think either MLS or Eathan Edwards are doing it to brag or name drop. It’s just their life.
I grew up in a trailer in Tampa with no father, it fucking sucked. It did make me work hard since there was no other option but I missed out on a lot of normal childhood things. I think I started working at 13.
You were bartending as like a 14/15 year old. Which is ridiculous to me now but it was basically the same where I grew up.
I got a couple fun calls from colleges after sending over my application asking me to explain how I was a 16 year old bar manager.
I share my Spotify with Kendall so mine is always kinda fucked up. like Doja Cat was in my top 5 fucked up
My coworker couldn't wait to show me hers and it was just an absurd number. I think it came out to like 6 hours/day which is possible I guess but ehhh
I usually have Spotify playing in my ofc for like 6-7 hours 5 days a week, Kendall plays Spotify for like 2-4 hours an evening...its easy to rack up the minutes
I normally only listen while working and didn’t work from Feb-July but still had 26,480 minutes. So probably a couple hours a day which seems about right
I was a journalism major and was not at all surprised to see it No. 1 you mean no pay, long hours, and now everyone fucking hates you isn't enticing?
i don't want to jinx it, but i may have outkicked my coverage here met a beautiful woman in a bar, she invited herself back to my house and we hit it off it's been a little over a week and i haven't fucked it up yet, and she hasn't changed her mind.
Yeah the neighbors abandoned yard had 6 foot tall solidago growing this fall. Wonder how that happened.
I threw a ton of redbud seeds over there but it'll be a few years before they rise above the stiltgrass Some of that yard turns into a river when it rains so I think a lot of what I threw over probably washed away downstream. Some areas are good tho. But I have new seed packs in the mail on the way about 7,500 of these, which are host plants for monarch butterflies: Spoiler about 1,250 of these: Spoiler
What's the story here I'm curious because one of my coworkers is like hardcore gardener guy and he's been nuclear mad about his neighbors making piles of invasives that blow into his yard
Got home from work 2 hours ago and there were AT&T trucks parked on side street by alley. 30 mins ago, internet went out. Checked app and there is an “outage” that is supposed to be resolved in 25 hours. WTF? Planned 25 hour outage? I don’t think that is called an outage. Shouldn’t we be notified of that ahead of time? Am I being ridiculous in thinking this is ridiculous?
someone may have cut into the fiber line? a few years ago we had something like that and it took 5 days before we had internet again. sorry brother isp companies contract out a ton of their work, at least around here.. i'm not saying it's good or bad but it makes it pretty opaque for regular people to figure out why their internet is out
Youtube Premium has increased from $17.99 to $20.38 to $26.32 in the past 6 months. and I'm currently subscribed to: Netflix HBOMax Disney+ PeacockTV I feel like 2023 is going to be a year where I cut all this shit out. They got me hooked and they're gonna keep raising prices.
The last 4 are very worth the money, I don’t understand paying for YouTube premium Wanted to get Disney bundle but they’ve made espn plus very hard to cancel so another year of paying for espn/disney with no hulu
youtube tv might have had the steepest price increase of any streaming service i know of. quickly went from great deal to "why do this over just having cable"
It should be a federal crime for companies to require you to submit a resume AND fill out an application that asks for all the same information that is on the resume.
An outage is an outage. Why would they notify people? It’s just gonna piss them off. Probably wasn’t a planned thing if people are working at 8pm.
Idk man, my buddy that lives on the corner where the trucks were parked said the trucks were there pretty much all day. So if they were not planning to shut it off, someone fucked up while there doing whatever else they were doing. But by all means, Stan for AT&T. One of the most garbage companies with some of the most garbage customer service that the world has ever known.
