I know people have been wanting this forever and it’s on Gregg for not implementing it or trying it out sooner. But this has been driving me crazy. Do you really want them trying out something they haven’t been practicing in the WC R16? Seems like a recipe for disaster for the positioning of the front 3
No Sargent on the bench and Haji (probably correctly) in the doghouse? Get ready for that Morris power and speed off the bench fellas
It’s a popular thing so he’s jumping on board? I hate it, was just saying what I thought it seemed like
Also, I’m way more annoyed by still calling Pulisic “Captain America,” since Tyler is gonna have a lock on that for quite a while.
Reminded of the scripture in the book of David where he ventures to Dallas and bangs some strange and blesses us with his son to lead us to glory.
Do we know what CCV did against Iran to get himself benched for a guy who looked pretty bad in the two games prior?
Gregg is clearly the greatest dual nat recruiter we’ve seen but we HAVE to give props to Dave Sarachan for his work with Jedi. When we were in absolute shambles after the disaster of 2018 and had no direction England tried capping Jedi and Dave convinced him to wait and stay strong. Great work Dave.
Yea no problem with Zim starting. CCV was also fine, but got a little nervy with some of his box fouls/non fouls.
Expected Zimmerman to retake that role at CB. GGG obviously has a lot of trust in him and he's been one of the first names on the sheet. Think the lineup is fine. This game could be fantastic to the end of we could get beat 2/3-0 and it wouldn't surprise me. Dutch obviously have a much stronger and more experienced side but they a beatable side for us.
Still drunk from last night, and they are handing out free jello shots at the bar. I am 36 years old.
Had to go to second location because line at our bar was around the block at 8am est. I guess when we wanted this country to love soccer this is what we get.
and CCV’s was pretty good against Iran. But CCV was a trigger happy ref away from like three penalties conceded
8 years guys. 8 long years. 8 years since Tim’s heroics and Wondo’s miss. 8 years we’ve waited this game. Think of Costa Rica in Jersey, think of Couva, think of those awful freindlies in 2019. We saw these kids dominate as teenagers and had dreams of this team. We watched them get creampied by Mexico only to come back in 2 years and destroy them. Been saying it for years, these kids are special. They may not win today, but you bet your ass they’ll remember this and when the world comes to us in 4 years, we’ll be underdogs no more. Never ever doubt this team.
Was on a 6 day vacation/conference so I'm on dad duty all day today. I'll have to stream some of it on a BBC radio station I found. Hopefully I can get Wi-Fi at my daughter's dance class.
