I hear the FBI is working with certain kids to get them to enter the transfer portal and have them visit/attend schools that they want to investigate, all part of the FBI woke agenda.
dumb question: Is there a good link or video on the portal itself, like the software, what you can see, who has logins, etc?
Coaches and admin staff have log ins Know it has school, position, year, and contact info Not sure if it has stats or degree/credits info since that's school specific
It's not public, but the schools have access to it. While they're not suppose to, some media members obviously have it too
Yeah, it seems that way. I guess someone shares his/her login and boom it's basically wide open for scouring/sharing. Also, surprised Ive never seen a screenshot, not even once.
I think that's the case. I'd imagine a lot of these guys enter the portal with the mindset they're staying in FBS/P5 football.
I get the point of of those stats, but I feel like it's missing major context when painting it as a "be careful what you wish for, kids", namely that the coaching staffs probably pushed out 1/4 to 1/2 of those players. 5-10 years ago, those guys just got shoved out of the program with little to no fanfare and even less good options.
I can safely say my favorite thing about the portal is when shitheads go to another program and everyone thinks it'll be different there.
Which leaves plenty to be discussed. But the tweet, as written, implies that 70% of players that transfer end up SOL on the college scholarship they gave up to transfer.
I agree entirely with this but will not acknowledge that will not be the case for the shitheads my school inevitably convinces to come play for them.
Ain't gonna front I was a little skeptical when we landed Eyabi Anoma/Okie but he was pretty damn solid for us w. zero issues (that I'm aware of)
How much football has Hunter played in the last 2 years? I’m sure everyone would still take him, but it’s a red flag.
will probably see a few other nice UVA defenders in the portal. Langston Long should be getting some offers.
This would be interesting data if there was any context. Is this D1 only? FBS? Are these undergrad transfers or also grad transfers? Of the ones not finding a landing spot, where did they go? JUCO? Enterprise?
Has been said multiple times but it’s gonna take a few years for this to normalize and the market to correct itself a bit in terms of what kids actual worth is. Sad to see anyone decent leveling up from the lower tier programs. It’s tough enough at the P5 level to be a coach, but it’s damn near impossible at the G5 level where any player worth a damn is gonna transfer out. It does work both ways and those programs will end up with good talent buried on DCs from the power programs but still feels like the balance of that is heavily tilted to the P5 as always. The MAC is basically just a minor league feeder league at this point.
