Today DOB revealed he was married to a Colombian for 6 years and learning Spanish was hard as an adult. He has definitely seen Daddy Yankee live.
What really happened with the Hunter Biden story suppression by Twitter will be published on Twitter at 5pm ET!
it’s a HOF dave tweet. now we know why he’s always on the prowl for the best arepas in every city he visits
They were already $65M over after the Quintana signing. The Nimmo and Robertson deals put them close to $100M over. And they’re likely still picked third in the division.
If we’re Dennis in this scenario that would make the Dodgers Mac. Not sure who’s getting the scraps but it’s probably the Angels, Rangers or Cubs
Starting to think he rolls with Eddie/Ozuna in left and Vaughn/Lando at SS and saves money for the deadline
I love that Alex has the stones to not overpay/move on from Freddie and most likely Dansby, despite the internal pressure and potential backlash, but it’s going to make normal off-seasons boring AF since like 90% of the team is locked up. SIGN CORREA AND REYNOLDS YOU COWARD
I think the Freddie and dansby situations are pretty different. While Freddie is a way better player, solid first basemen are a dime a dozen and we seemed to have a plan to get a really good one. There's some serious scarcity at short right now.
I think it’s kinda the opposite actually. Even when Freddie is no longer a plus defender, he’ll still be a professional hitter thanks to the universal DH. Whereas Dansby has more short term value because of the market, I don’t think we want to be paying him $30 mil a year when he no longer profiles as an above average defender.
Paying him isn't ideal. I just don't really see any other options without taking a short term step back.
I don’t think Dansby will draw that unless somebody like the Cubs gets REALLY desperate. $25M AAV seems like his absolute limit and the longer it goes on, the less likely that seems to happen.
I would hope it’s the years and not the money holding up negotiations but you never know with Casey Close
Wasn’t the in-season offer $140 mil? What does AA know about the January 6th Commission that we don’t
Bowman made it sound like the 6/$100M was made during the season and there hasn’t been any real negotiations since the season ended.
In season Braves offer was 5/100 that was turned down by Dansby camp. Postseason counter was 6/140 (the Story/Baez deal) that was turned down by AA
Maybe ignorance is bliss, but it seems like Dans overestimated his market value at this point. I have no clue if he’ll swallow his pride and come back, but if he was a priority for anyone, he’d already be wrapped up.
