Think he is a 6. Supposed to be good but I don't see much of Velez. Most everyone on Twitter really rates him
I'd seen that chatter. Weird part is there's other reports that we would be loaning him back for remainder of season, so not sure I get him saying goodbye's now?
We haven't had very many good ones worth watching since I started following over a decade ago. Mike Ashley effectively destroyed the academy and now the new owners are attempting to bring it back.
that's fair. we have 5 kids on loan in the champ right now, so it's been fun to watch their progression
I'm hoping Newcastle will find a way to get to that sort of level. Realistically you'd think that shouldn't be an issue since there's not a lot of big clubs in the northeast to compete against.
yeah it seems like you should be getting the vast majority of kids in that area of the country. the thing that has sucked for english clubs is that it's nearly impossible to get foreign kids into the academies now because of brexit
Some talk this morning that the club has made a decent offer to Moukoko for a bosman move in the summer. I imagine he will renew with Dortmund, but
Fotmob had a bracket looking like it’s our lots going at it….nm they added something day not determined yet
Makes a huge difference when you can develop like 200,000,000 lbs every decade via the youth academy.
Shelvey maybe on the way to forest. If so, Hope there is a plan to bring in a CDM before the window closes, because that depth is trash.
Agreed. I’d be surprised if they let him go without having something lined up/in the pipeline. But also, bringing in Gordon would allow Joelinton to play in the midfield as well
Yeah, the two forward CMs seem covered, I just get nervous about the CDM. Joelinton, Bruno, Willock, Longstaff, and even Anderson means we have a nice selection in that more advanced role. Even a backup-level 6 would make me a bit more comfortable.
Great win yesterday. Needed it very bad. Willock had a very good game and I honestly didn’t recognize it during.
