Siap saw this on JY Kirby is now speaking at today’s ceremony and said, “Nobody predicted us to make the college football playoff this year — including our own Davey Pollack.” No link yet…
Willock and the rest of the OL was on the fire truck. Seemingly great kid from all accounts. I’m still in shock.
He was out at a Texas roadhouse yesterday evening. He took the time to take pictures with a Bunch of kids. Just a great kid with the whole world in front of him. The entire Bulldawg Nation is absolutely devastated.
With AD Mitchell getting NIL'd, now clear why we took both RaRa and Lovett. Think we will see Ladd in slot a lot too. Still a damn good depth chart. Need Dillon Bell and Tyler Williams to develop for 2024. But the Portal taketh, the Portal can giveth.
seems like we just couldnt meet the # AD and his reps were getting, but being reported elsewhere the Texas negotiations started in/around SECCG Rowe: - I think most understand that NIL is going to be a big factor here. Whether he gets closer in proximity to his child or not, it's for the child, family, etc. Players are going where they can make money and develop. We'll see if it works out for Mitchell. - Based on everything I've heard, I expect Mitchell to have an Amarius Mims-like open door to return. I spoke to a source that told me UGA isn't going to recruit him extremely hard or anything like that. But if he wants to return and/or shows interest in returning, it'll be reciprocated. - I'm also told that this was not an easy decision. He was torn. Those around him were torn. NIL is putting some decisions usually made by 30-year-olds on the play of a 20-year-old.
Hope he comes back. I think he could have a HUGE year for us. Dude is a stud. If not, good luck to him at UT, and I hope he gets an ownership stake in an oil field.
I wish we'd just pay to keep him but either we wouldn't or couldn't; hopefully the former. still appreciate Kirby being on top of it proactive getting two starting SEC WRs in December to mitigate (also think how we rotate so many receivers still hurts us)
I could see him getting a 7 figure deal and us choosing not to match. Although Id rather pay established players more than high school recruits. Think our TE production is hurting more ATM.
cool merch supporting some of our current players NIL efforts https://www.morethansports.com/prod...ulldogs-beckett-4?_pos=1&_sid=c881cf8d5&_ss=r https://www.morethansports.com/prod...-bulldogs-beckett?_pos=2&_sid=c881cf8d5&_ss=r
Seems pretty clear he didn't lead with his helmet and did not hit Harrison in the head. I'm not sure what else is necessary for clarity
I agree with him. OSU is the 2022 National Champions. Let the record books be amended to reflect that they beat TCU in the title game. The score was 4,597-6. What a bunch of butthurt babies. Their refusal to accept a loss further highlights that their program is soft as baby shit.
OSU crying about calls that affect the National Championship after what they got away with against Miami 20 years ago is incredible content.
Crying that it should have been SOME type of penalty if not targeting is the silliest argument. He hit the shit out him to break up the pass. No helmet to helmet. He did his job. That's not a penalty. I'm sorry your guy got hurt.
OSU played an unbelievable game.. and have done nothing but embarrass themselves since. Keep crying day.
All the crying they have done after the game has cost them the respect their players earned by the way they played during the game.
the funny thing is that day did receive clarity from the pac 12 officials and from the national coordinator of refs as to why the call was correct
Pretty disgusting to make light of a situation in which a player said he “felt fine” and wanted to go back into the game. Ohio State should really consider not being a one man team who turns into complete garbage when their only good player gets shouldered out of the game in the third quarter.
Two once proud programs using injuries as an excuse for losing national championships to Stetson Bennett is tough to see.
Twelve Georgia players have been invited to the 2023 NFL Combine: quarterback Stetson Bennett; running back Kenny McIntosh; wide receiver Kearis Jackson; tight end Darnell Washington; offensive linemen Broderick Jones and Warren McClendon; defensive tackle Jalen Carter; outside linebackers Robert Beal and Nolan Smith; cornerback Kelee Ringo; safety Chris Smith; and kicker Jack Podlesny. The dozen Dawgs are 12 of 319 players invited to this year’s combine. had 14 last year
2023 Preseason rankings are now up. Surprised our offense is that high, probably under assumption Monken stays. Iowa has the #1 defense fwiw. https://www.espn.com/college-footba...872/2023-college-football-rankings-every-team Tennessee the only regular season opponent projected to have a spread less than 3 scores
