i knew what you meant but I didn’t know what to use and didn’t want to wake bother him. He scares me lol
Wife sent me this from her office this morning. She bought this bench for her office and he will spend long portions of the day looking out the window or sleeping on it while she works. May have mentioned it before, he likes to watch the children at the bus stop from it
The sweet little TNR cat - The Jimmy - who had been living under my sunroom in a heated box I built for him has disappeared (gone for over a week). Probably not good. I've been searching the neighborhood and didn't find any dead cats, but outdoor cats in cities have typically short lifespans, especially ones that are undersized and too friendly to humans. I did my best for you, sweet boy, I just didn't have any room for you in my house (I took in his brother after he almost died of a blood infection on Labor Day weekend).
I think the best scenario is he was taken in by someone in the neighborhood. I just don't know who that would be. There's a young couple 2 doors down who also were caring for him (they're Ethiopian, and named him "Mari" -- Amharic for "honey") and they haven't seen him either. Humane Rescue Alliance (DC's public / private shelter) is a complete mess of an organization and their cages are completely full of dogs and cats that people gave up now that covid has been winding down... I can't even get someone on the phone over there, and it seems maybe they eliminated the community cat liaison position. Sigh. I have a game camera set up in my yard and there's been a new feral back there in the middle of the night hitting up the feeding station that looks a lot like The Jimmy and Ferd (the roof cat from a few pages who is now in my house). So, probably means whoever the asshole is in my neighborhood who is breeding cats threw another one out of their house. Don't see a tipped ear on the camera and looks like he's swinging a full set, which means I need to try to trap him and get him fixed.
Daniel Ocean Check with the pound just in case someone trapped him and taken him in there. Also if he uses a litter tray put it outside so he can smell it.
we’ve had him 7-8 years and he has gotten out twice. First time was right when we first got him, he made it downstairs and I literally dove on cement to tackle him and brought him back up. Second time I didn’t close the door behind because I was just running downstairs. My wife heard him crying and was looking all over for him until she realized he was at the front door crying to get back in. Outdoors isn’t safe for black cats. People are horrible to them
Gizmo's had his flea stuff for the month and a brush! Wow so much loose fur. No wonder he had hairball troubles.
Gizmo is back to himself. He had hairball troubles doubled with constipation. He played with a new mouse catnip infused toy. The first time in days
I’m sure your cat is cool and all, but the constant live updates are a bit much It’s certainly plausible that I’m in the minority in this regard, but fucking hell.
Tiger has decided 5 am is his new feeding time and does biscuits on my back to wake me up. Too bad for him I can sleep through anything. Trying to move dinner back so he’s less hungry.
Our assholes wake us up anywhere between 3:30-4:30. Not demanding food, just wanting attention. Doesn’t make them any less assholes though.
It does not matter what time I go to bed. Ramona gets the zoomies 5 minutes prior. Like she can sense I’m getting tired.
Yeah my cat has a witching hour anywhere between like 4 and 5 where she runs around the house like an asshole and meows at me. So sometimes I will get up and try and let her out. She will stare out the crack of the door for a while before finally going all:
My fat orange tabby wakes me up twice a night just wanting me to turn on the tap water in the sink, it’s the only way he drinks water
I lock our cats in the unfinished room in the basement before bedtime every night. They each have their own bed, litter box and water. I feed them before bedtime to get them in there and when get up in the morning.
when we moved to this house he just plopped his fat ass in the sink and one day I turned on the water to make him move and instead he drank the water and it’s been a thing since, he’s my sidekick so I bow down to him
Godzilla sleeps at the bottom of the bed under a ceiling fan right next to Groot. Groot has his own bed because 80+ pound bulldog surprisingly takes up a lot of space and doesn’t care about anything else but his comfort.
For my cat i have a big blue water bowl that he prefers. Something that a dog would drink out of. We have smaller bowls of water as well in the laundry
We had a water fountain for Bryant that he loved until he discovered drinking from a cup. Now he has a cup in my wife’s office at all times and he only drinks from that
Several years ago I got a big bed for the cats so they can snuggle up together in something comfortable because sometimes two or three of them would squeeze into a box to snuggle. Most of the time only one cat will ever use it But recently the momma cat and one of her babies has decided to start sharing the bed. And here is a still shot of the baby licking her momma's head some.
