found these two british guys when i was researching korea years ago, makes sense i swear due to the demographic of this board i imagine this will get high approval
Really want to use credit card to pay my monthly HOA + occasional larger assessment payments, but the accounting company charges a 3.1% fee for credit card payments. Freakin insane. I'll keep using bill pay from bank for free.
Considering the increased frequency of unisex public bathrooms, I think toilet seats should be designed with a spring to keep them vertical when not being used. Men are gross and we can’t be trusted to not get piss everywhere. This is an easy change to make life more bearable for anyone that sits to pee/poop.
Ableist solution that also puts all of the responsibility squarely on the sitters, and none on the standers.
Just got my booster shot. I’m a puss when it comes to needles so I look away. This motherfucker at CVS put the bandaid on first and stuck the needle through it. WTF is that shit? ?!?!
was it a regular bandaid or was it one of the things designed for the needle to go through inject safe bandages are great
Well yea… but the standers have no motivation for change. The negative outcome falls squarely on the sitters while they (may) have no opportunity to make a decision which impacts the outcome.
ain’t no way cc companies are charging 3% fee they probably just want to deter cc payments so they don’t have to deal with all the cc decline issues imo
Imagine being this wrong https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/small-business/credit-card-processing-fees
Any idea, do they charge different for debit card than credit card? I've seen some places put paper over keys and stuff to force you to use a debit card as a credit transaction, so I always assumed it must be cheaper for the business to run a credit vs a debit card. But I've also asked guys who I am pretty sure were the owner of a c-store, when the machine prompted me " which one is better for you, credit or debit?" And it seemed like most acted like they didn't care
Wow. That is outrageous. cc companies making BANK. Thanks for educating me on this topic. I had a thing setup through authorize.net years ago to accept credit cards and I thought I was sure the fee wasn’t that high.
I went to a restaurant recently that tacked on 3% if you used a CC. Thought that was pretty bullshit.
My water bill has a $3 surcharge on checking accounts and a 3% surcharge on credit cards. Still worth it over mailing a check.
Not sure what’s crazy about that block. There are literally square miles of the city worse than that.
Mailing a check. So essentially pay with checking account or mail a check. I use my checking account.
Can you set up your checking account to mail a check? Wells Fargo has that option for me, that I've used before, but I once sent a check to a friend ( years ago before venmo and all was so common) and he was calling me like a damn bill collector it took so long to get to him
See that makes me confused as to why the place I just got my wife's watch screen fixed at yesterday had a piece of paper over the key pad and asked every debit card user to press "skip" when it asks for a pin. I assumed it was because it made it a credit transaction which must have been cheaper for them, but what do I know
Probably. I should look into that. No idea what Chase charges, if anything. I guess I've sent checks from Chase before to pay fantasy football debts, so why not. Never considered it, but it makes sense.
It is probably still a debit transaction for the fees and the keypad on the card reader is probably fucked up and they hate using it.
I dunno, it was a pretty permanent sign and they were very quick to make sure you didn't try and put in a pin
