There’s a guy that refs a ton of the Nebraska games and he used to be the police chief of Fort Lauderdale but got fired bc he was claiming he was working while he was out of town reffing. He moved in a street over from us. I talked to a cop and they said he claimed he was black when interviewing for the job(idk if he is or not, he looks Italian to me) and he was gay ….so they didn’t like him.
You can be black or you can be gay, but don’t you go around trying to be both you inconsiderate asshole.
Looked this dude up and it was exactly who I was expecting it to be. This dude sucks ass (at reffing). He was on the crew that was terrible for our OT loss vs. Purdue and was also on the crew in the Indiana/Iowa debacle that basically started the recent revolt against B10 refs lol
Honestly impressed. Didn’t know it was even possible to be fired as a cop in the United States, let alone Florida. Definitely tracks that the one who was is a B1G basketball ref, however.
I had a low blood sugar incident, first time. Apparently that’s enough to dislocate your shoulder and fracture your humerus in 3 locations? Thankful for good friends who handled it all like true pros.
The shock/spasms from my low blood sugar. I fell onto a couch and then my friends said I was shaking and the next thing they heard was just 3 loud pops
Man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Type 1 diabetic is such a shitty disease. You look like a completely normal healthy human being with nothing wrong but have to deal 24/7 with your body wanting you dead. Hope you heal up fast.
49ers with a Purdy and McCaffrey in their backfield right now. Unfortunately neither of which were the ones who played for Nebraska.
There used to be a cowboys fan that posted in here. Dude was a loser so who knows what happened to him.
Winter conditioning is that special tim of year where middle aged weirdos on the internet think they're really cool critiquing the d*ckens out of D1 scholarship athletes' lifting techniques.
probably my favorite thing about the fuck us...so 8 years ago we turned down a middling 5.6 three star QB from Athens, OH, who was noteworthy only to Nebraska fans on account of who his dad and brothers were. We literally would have never heard of him otherwise. You would think, if fuck us were a normal entity, that maybe our punishment for this would be that he'd beat us head to head a time or two to really rub it in. Maybe become like 2nd team all conference or so. but FUCK no, the fuck us is quite a devious little slut. the random 5.6 QB wins a Heisman trophy and is on his way to a Hall of Fame career as a generational QB
Obviously if he comes to Nebraska he doesn’t win the Heisman or Natty, but I’d guess he probably could have done enough to at least get a look from an NFL team (who knows what happens after that). Earlier I was thinking, what if he didn’t transfer at all. Assuming he never gets a ton of snaps at OSU, he probably doesn’t get a legit chance in the NFL, if at all. Just crazy to think how that could have happened.
There was a lot of fuck us but even more fuck Tim beck who was like nah we are good at Nebraska. Then he went to Ohio state and ended up w burrow anyway.
You know that he and and coach still have conversations about husking. You don’t grow up a huge fan of a team your dad played for and just say, “fuck ‘em.” I think the right, and smart play, is to get him on Husk City to talk shop.
Still scratching my head how Tim Beck was able to get a HC gig. Dude was dogshit everywhere he coached.
Not yet, but I’d guess it comes out soon. I think they only do one show a week. I saw they recently released one with Derrick Henry, which was recorded around the same time. So maybe even this week it comes out. I don’t listen to it though so for all I know they’ve said when it’s coming.
Yeah Joe Burrow's the worst example but please don't forget ALL of the first round talent wanting to come to Nebraska that the Bo said "no thanks (Sam-I-Am sunglasses)" to. Prolly woulda played for a natty if he, like, DOESN'T tell Blaine Gabbert to go fuck himself. Drew Ott Harrison Phillips who else?
Also, seeing Darnay Holmes and Deommodore Lenoir starting in the playoffs hurts. Pretty sure Owa and a bunch of other dudes who Nebraska finished 2nd to in the Calibraska Riley season went on to the NFL. Isaiah Hodgins for the Giants was another.
That 2007 Callahan class that fell apart was setting up to be an all-timer tbh. Riley's Calibraska class that never happened was close but not good enough for the same types of kids.
