Dublin is extremely walkable. Try to find a place near O’Connell Bridge and you’ll be close to almost everything you want to see. Kilmainham Gaol is the main exception, and is still within walking distance, but you’d probably want to get a ride there.
Gave Shaun Crawford’s podcast a try because I saw he had Ty Isaac on. Podcast is decent, but more interestingly, Ty Isaac told the story of how he wanted to transfer to ND from USC, but USC told him they were going to block the move a couple hours before they had to sign his release. Probably wouldn’t have been a big impact player at ND anyways, but obviously he was such a big recruit out of IL originally. Maybe that story was already out there at some point, but that was the first time I’d heard it.
It’s only been a couple years since that’s been over, but it’s still so crazy to me schools used to do that all the time. “We may have them on the schedule in 3 years and you’ll share all our secrets so we can’t let you go there.” What a ridiculous argument that was just accepted practice for all
Still announcing on the 31st is huge. Gonna be an absolute fist fight to keep the kid unless he REALLY wants to stay close to home. I assume a big part of the NIL packages being thrown around is some sort of family travel so I am guessing distance will be less and less of a factor for big time kids.
Cya in December. “I want to kind of slow it down. I want to be able to focus and play football,” he added. “Obviously I’ll still think about other schools when I make my decision, but I want to say for the most part it’s going to be over.” Scott says that he’ll make it clear to the school he chooses that dialogue may continue with other programs, but it’s not guaranteed, and that he will be fully committed and recruiting hard for the program he chooses.
Loy has direct quotes from Scott and then Driskell posts this on his board lmao I know there is a report out there that elite DT Justin Scott is visiting tomorrow. Notre Dame is definitely working on getting him on campus, but as of 5 minutes ago the visit is not 100% set up yet, so it’s not a lock he’s coming yet. So let’s hold off on getting too fired up just yet, but ND is definitely working on making that happen, which would be huge.
Thought basketball would play it's ass off and get a W at home today... they lost by 12 to a shitty BC team after getting 29 from Nate L. Gross.
We need to figure out his NIL so that cash finds it's way to a wide net around him in a way that is difficult for southern schools to match. Like get Scott involved with alums and businesses around St. Ignatius and his community.
do we know what made this Michigan fan come out of it’s safe zone secret Michigan thread to post this in here yet? Seemed out of left field a little bit.
Coach D needs to do a "Villains of ND Recruiting" guest podcast with Dante's dad, Bowen's girlfriend, Carnell Tate's mom, etc. just coming out and swinging on ND while Ryan Roberts tells them why they're wrong
In retrospect Tates mom wasn’t an issue cuz he turned down huge money from Miami and Tenn to go to OSU
Dame fan is going to buy him a new car isn’t he? (Assuming he survived 1/6. If not he has to be on Driskell’s board right? Someone please confirm)
UGA is way more likely to take DT’s from the south than fucking Chicago This isn’t their way- Bama/Oregon/OSU/Mich those are the threats
ESPN's final rankings for 23 came out...Bama has 13 commits in the top 50 which is fucking absurd. NDs highest I believe was Ausberry at 59
They only just made Keeley a 5-star on this latest revision and he finished at #20 for them. Makes me question their evals
